I was looking at the Rumored deal with the Raps getting center Radoslav Nesterovic from San Antonio and you know what it's not a bad idea from the Raptors point of view.

We need a true center bad and Nesterovic may not be an allstar center but he'll provide us with a starting center be a rebounder/shot blocker and provide relief to Bosh/CV and be a mentor to Hoffa. Plus give Hoffa a chance to come off the bench instead of starting (when he did come off the becnh last yr he did play better).

Some may argue that his contract is ugly at 20.5 mil for 3yrs... that isnt too bad IMO if we can unload some players add a roster spot while address our needs then its a win win situation for the Raps IMO.

What would you be will to give up for Nesterovic ? Maybe a S&T Marhsall, Woods for Nesterovic and S&T Devin Brown. ANy ideas?

Bosh/CV/Bonner
Rose/E.Willams/Grahman
Mo-pete/D.Brown/Grahman
Alston/Ukic/Cook

Who might Rasho be traded to this summer? Top possibilities include Toronto, Atlanta, Washington, and also Cleveland or Minnesota. Possible principles from the Raps would be Aaron Williams (he’ll be 34 soon, big scrapper would fit the Spurs’ system), Eric Williams (33, offensively challenged PF could be a deep reserve), Lamond Murray (32, bulky non-defender combo-forward who can really shoot from distance or score on the block...at this point, re-signing Glenn Robinson makes more sense for SA than Murray). The Hawks’ Tony Delk (31, competitive little guard with a jumper) or Boris Diaw (young, long, unselfish, athletic 3-man without a jumper) are two Atlanta guys who can probably play in the Spurs’ system.

nesterovic is an ok scorer and an ok rebounder. however, his contract is ugly .... no wait, ugly ugly ... well it is pretty ugly, just not allan houston's contract ugly.

i would really not wanna touch him. his contract will run into 2007, where we expect a huge cap relief. i know he definitely is not worth giving up the cap relief we will get in 07. we need to sign bosh ... and see if we can get magloire from free agency.

I agree. He's a jumpshooting centre. Good shotblocker, adequate rebounder, but if we're going to pay him that salary, and for that long, we need him to be able to take pressure off of our players in the paint. He isn't the right kind of player to do that.
