Darko available ?

"Coincidentally, one week after Brown and the Pistons parted ways, Brown's former club offered Darko Milicic to the Atlanta Hawks for Al Harrington. Brown's reluctance to play the unproven second-year forward caused a rift between the coach and Detroit president Joe Dumars. Now it appears the Pistons are willing to trade the second overall pick of the 2003 draft."

If this is true ... would you like Babs to make an offer ?
Is he able to play Center ?

depends on the price - I think he is better than a bench player but is he an injury waiting to happen.

Re: Darko available ?
Why would Dumars offer him up AFTER Brown left? If his confidence is that shattered I don't want him. Otherwise I would jump all over it.

Re: Darko available ?
If he's available, I really want to see Babcock inquire and make a run at him.
The talent is still there, don't be fooled into thinking otherwise.

That is a damn good question. Perhaps Flip hates him too and dumars just needed to hear it from another quality NBA coach.

Maybe - Flip doesn't have much expereince with young players lately - thank you Kevin McHale! Didn't Darko start one game last year and play pretty well? If Al Harrington was requested (obviously too high a price) who off our roster would they take? Mo? Would they hold out for a rookie - Cv or Graham?

Re: Darko available ?
No thanks.
One Hoffa's enough.
(And I hope Hoffa will prove else)

Exactly theres really no one that we can give up that they would take.
Mo woud fit into their line up behind Rip, but I'm not sure i'd give him up for that.

Re: Darko available ?
That rumor isn't true. Dumars didn't make the offer, Atlanta did. Detroit declined. If Detroit makes it a trade at all it would have a 2/3 that can score involved.

love the deal, not sure if it can happen.
i understand that wallace will be looking for a max contract and prince will be looking for a ginobli-contract like deal as well ... so that's about 20 million. giving them 4 million cap space (just taking off arroyo's salary next year) would help them achieve that.
it's too good to be true. we fill in our pg depth with arroyo. i like his playmaking abilities. darko has potential ... but he is still a huge project even after being in the league for 2 years. he seems lost even in the summer league !!! but then again losing expir | |
