Free Agency Begins At Noon
The FA store opens at noon. Toronto is in the market for a point guard or two. We could potentially be making deals as well.

Re: Free Agency Begins At Noon
We probably won't do anything major in the FA market although I keep praying for some major deal involving Rose.

Re: Free Agency Begins At Noon
Sounds like some trades are in the offing, should things go as planned.
Get younger through trades and signings. I like it.

Re: Free Agency Begins At Noon
I am interested to know what a player like Rose could get in the trade market.

Re: Free Agency Begins At Noon
A lot of playoff teams with an aging star player would want Rose, but what do we get back for him that doesn't involve old players and crappy contracts.
Another alternative to see what we could get for Rose from the dumber GMs in the league (Minnesota, Orlando, NYK, etc).

Re: Free Agency Begins At Noon
I would love to see him go to the Knicks.
Trigger happy what!
Crawford, Rose, and Marbury on the court at the same time.. it would be fun to watch them lose.
Just a thought..

Re: Free Agency Begins At Noon
Calderon to be signed / shown off today, Sow to be resigned, Bonner up in air.
Quote:
Sources say the team will sign free agent guard Jose Calderon of Spain and re-sign Pape Sow in the first significant moves of the off-season.
Calderon, who played on Spain's 2004 Olympic team as well as with Tau Ceramica, may end up being the most important signing of the summer for the Raptors, whose only current point guard is Rafer Alston.
And given Alston's rocky relationship last season with coach Sam Mitchell and some of his teammates, it's not out of the realm of possibility to think more clashes are in the future and Calderon could be pressed into significant action.
The new 6-foot-3, 205-pound guard, expected to be introduced at a news conference this afternoon, is filling a role orginally held for second-round draft pick Roko Ukic.

So we are to expect a news conference later today for Calderon / Sow.
