Jalen Rose
Is he still gonna be a raptor next year?
I think either him or Alston should go in order for Bosh to develop his game and imporve next year...cuz i see this guy being a superstar player in the next year or two.
what do you all think?

Yes
If the Raps want to trade hin they'll do it next year, when his value is much higher.

but he dominates the ball alot and sometimes he still think he's a superstar in this league and the franchise player of the raptors. I hope he dosent continue that next year or Bosh growth will suffer.

Re: Jalen Rose
yep he will return as the Leader and with Alvin returning and if we can add Willis we have the leadership to help the youngsters get us into the post season.

Re: Jalen Rose
Im cool with him if he stays as long as he wont be the raptors go-to-guy..
cuz i think Chris Bosh should be the guy next year!
who should take the last shot in crunch time? well thats a different story..but i'll give it to Rose cuz he's known to be clutch.

Re: Jalen Rose
where's jalen going to play?
SF- packed. if we want to keep eric, he has to play and i don't recall mitchell using him as a 4. from what i've seen, graham doesn't have enough guard skills to slide smaller than here--i REALLY hope i'm wrong. we have to get him time at the two and forcefeed. mitchell will want to use charlie and bosh here too. bonner. mo. a dash of sow. don't even count murray.
jalen has to be moved back to guard. imo, he should be the vet combo guard babs says we need. yes, he has no d. but charlie and graham have to both see the floor at SF and graham needs minutes at the two. splitting jalen between the 1 and 2 spots is what i'm thinking. finding the guard to play beside him that will lessen the killing we will take is the question.
if babs can move him, i'm sure he will. even second round picks would be nice.
an issue with rose being on the roster come fall is the "raptors don't have a winning cuture /mindset/commitment/etc." thing. joey and charlie may be younger and more athletic than jalen, but it'll be going along way to say they are now better players. [wouldn't it be great if they were already?]
marshall was and is much better than bonner, sow, hoffa. we chose to develop our guys over playing a far superior player. donyell was cool. and we weren't tied to him with a chain like we are jalen. nevermind that rose would be justafiably pissed if he's sitting, i can see more rafergates. when those losses start to mount and skip sees jalen on the bench in another 'develoment' loss....

Re: Jalen Rose
I think Bosh'll get his regardless, Rose is mature enough to understand that it's his time to shine. Yes he dominates the ball, but he's also an excellent passer and doesn't always look for his own shot, either. He's no Steve Francis.

Re: Jalen Rose
Air Fly your signature drives me insane.
Quote #1- I'll always hate him, he admitted tanking in his last season as a Raptor and even before that he was too.
Quote #2- I'm happy he learned about Canadian culture he did a lot for our franchise back in the day, and our franchise did a hell of a lot for him. It just went to **** around Vince's ankles. When he said jump, we jumped and that was the problem. When he said sign JYD, Olajuwan, Alvin Williams and AD we did. Finally now we are climbing out of the ****ty hole he left us. I wouldn't sign Vince back for the league minimum if given the chance. He'd probably break his ankle and trip Bosh while he was going down.
Quote #3- I'm more then happy for you New Jersey. If he continues his great play, congratulations on getting Vince. If he falls and gets a boo boo and is out for 3 weeks, my sincere sympathy goes out to the fans. For I, as a previous Vince fan, know what it feels like.

Haha very touchy
btw i didnt come here to talk "Vince" i came to discuss basketball and the topic of this Thread is "Jalen Rose" Not "Vince Carter"..so would u mind staying on topic If you wanna discuss anything about Vince and wanna express ur hate/love toward him visit my personal forum The Carter Administration I'd be happy to have u there, then u can talk about Vince all you want
Now lets get back to topic..
do you guys still want Rose to be the go-to-guy? I just feel like if him and Rafer are still in the starting lineups next season, Bosh still wont get the touches he wants and wont improve much...
I know that Rose is a great leader but someone should tell him this is not his team anymore, matter of fact its Bosh's team. Plus someone needs to tell Rafer he should stick to his job, and stop trying to be the Man everytime the team is losing...just my thoughts.

Re: Jalen Rose
true man... as for jalen rose... i dont see him leaving before his contract is a plus in a deal. I see us trading him when he is an expiring or letting his contract run out. i think while he shouldn't be the go to guy on the floor. he is a vocal veteran, and when things are straightened out better this season he should be a good influence on the young guys. isn't he one of the more well liked guys from around the league?
thats just my take...

Yes he is im also cool with him being a good influence on the young guys cuz this team definantly needs that..and he should be the leader of this team due to his many years in the league and experience, but i just dont want him to be the go to guy next season...That's all im hoping for, i want Chris Bosh to have that role and improve greatly next year.. but that wont happen if Rose still think this is his team and that he is the raps #1 scorer!
Those are just my thoughts
