I was thinking that too - all they did was just put the light on top of him to accentuate his profile/arms... I dunno.

Re: The New Charlie
Well he doesn't look too scrawny to me, and that's the important thing. Seems to be an obvious difference though.

I don't think there's any scenario in which picking charlie at 7 will look good... simply because he would have been available at 16.

Orlando and New York were both interested in Villanueva. Good chance Orlando takes him before we get another chance.

Funny how people (and I'm guilty of this as much as the next person) will utter definitive statements even before Villaneuva's rookie season starts...
Danny Manning, Ed O'Bannon, Joe Forte, etc. - all collegians much more heralded than Villaneuva... And who received more press than Dwayne Wade... W/ the possible exception of an average, but unspectacular NBA career from Manning, Wade has accomplished more than those 3 already... Not sayin' that Charlie's at Wade's talent level, but let play commence - it's the true litmus test, not the rhetoric you nor I engage in to no end...

Dwayne Wade did not get much press in the NCAA.... that's news, and inaccurate at that, to me. The guy was preseason first team all-american, but hey that's just a minor technality.

Likely the wrong choice of an example, but how many people knew about Wade in Chicago's high school ranks before bein' plucked by Crean for Marquette; that Golden Eagles squad was the best that the Milwaukee school's fielded since Al McGuire's heyday, but if you asked around the block, do you really think that Wade had the name cache that Manning, O'Bannon, etc. did, especially after their respective runs in the NC2As? Really... Lot of folks will tell you they knew he was goin' to be an NBA stud NOW, but how many of 'em would you really trust and/or believe - 'cause, yes, I knew about him, but I wouldn't have pegged him to be the force that he is right now...
Look @ this scenario then: Dwayne 'Pearl' Washington versus Mark Price -> the NYC-bred Pearl got more press, especially b/c of the Syracuse spotlight than the Georgia Tech ramblin' wreck-based Price (under Bobby Cremins) durin' their college careers, but Price panned out to be the better pro (although it wasn't a phenomenal run, it was still better than the much more ballyhooed Washington)...

Good reply, especially considering that I was an a-hole in my first response to you.

Cool. I think the white t shirt that all the UConn players wear (*why??) de-emphasizes muscle definition, so just taking that off probably helps on some level.
