Re: bonner re-signs
Great move for the Raptors. He will come off the books the same year as Rose and Bosh, and the Raptors will have a lot of flexibility that summer.

I hope they won't waste it in that summer.
Everyone's talking about 2007.
I think we should close a deal with Bosh next summer, when we can use the "Bird Right" on him, and pay less money.

Re: bonner re-signs
Babcock did a great job with Bonner. He knew his agent wanted too much money, so he was patient and let them try and look for a better deal; they didn't and came running back.
I love the fact that its only two years long as well.

Hm, interestingly enough, it also fits with the Lakers' plans. There's a rumor going around (extension of old rumor) that Bonner will be packaged with Rose for expiring contracts and draft picks. I wouldn't put much into it though. Nice that Bonner is back.

Hmm... that is interesting. Unfortunately, probably nothing but a coincidence.

Very nice.

Re: bonner re-signs
I think that 2 years @ $2 mil a season is a solid deal for Bonner.
Good work Babs.

Re: Confirmed: Matt Bonner Re-Signed [merged]
Why would you want Boner ... he's a stiff.
He looks very promising. A second round steal that's for sure after his performance last year. As a Bulls fan, I would have liked to have seen him in chicago. A big with an outside shot is nice to have. Especially a kid that has a lot of talent.

Re: Confirmed: Matt Bonner Re-Signed [merged]
i can't complain. this offseason has gone very much to my liking. re-signing matt was the final move. the duhon offer sheet itself was valuable for so many reasons, one of which ultimately led to getting matt back.
i'm not sure about our draft picks this year, not sure how they'll pan out, but babcock's short-term strategy is looking clean, and his long-term vision is looking even better. i don't expect many here to agree, but this team is already looking good- i'm talking 05/06. what's more, we're in the perfect position now: if we start winning this year, we have a solid nucleus to carry us forward (not to mention denver's first round pick that could still land in valuable territory); if we continue to lose, we have a young nucleus to develop concurrently, on top of our own draft pick to add another strong part.
and regardless, our cap paralysis is loosening its grip as time passes. i like it.
welcome back, bones.
peace

Bonner to sign with Raptors
It's reported that Matt Bonner is going to sign on to a 2-year, 4 million dollar deal with the Raptors. Sounds good to me.
