Re: Pape Sow is averaging 21 points and 12 rebounds

not far off

Re: Pape Sow is averaging 21 points and 12 rebounds
He's 3rd in ppg, 1st in rpg, 3rd in steals, 6th in blocks. He's 1st in efficiency by a significant margin. As a measure of his dominance, his efficiency of 26+ is equivalent to what Tim Duncan does in the NBA.

Re: Pape Sow is averaging 21 points and 12 rebounds
After a small shake up to the raps roster after December 15th (we should be part of some trade activity), I hope Pape gets the call and comes back to the NBA and gives us the big man presence we desperately need.

u couldn't be more right, I always thought it would be interesting to put Hoffa down in NBDL and see what he could do. Like...if Pape can get 20 and 10, there's not way that Hoffa can't. and u know wat, it might finally give him some kind of confidence that he's been lacking for 2 yrs.

Cmon, we all know that Hoff needs experience against the big boys and following a proper gameplan.
Give Pape more experience and more exposure and see what comes up after the 15th. Sow has become a viable trade asset or we might clear some room for him. Of course we do have room for him, it's more about playing time.

Re: Pape Sow is averaging 21 points and 12 rebounds
...in ready the thread apparently we don't all know that Hoffa needs NBA (!!!) experience and that our team actually needs him. He is our starting center after all and has earned that position through hard work.

Re: Pape Sow is averaging 21 points and 12 rebounds
Yeah, Pape is doing great but I don't think you guys really understand the competition level here... he's playing mostly against guys who wouldn't even make the 15th roster spot on a team like the Hawks or the Raptors (as evidenced by the fact that Sow, a Raptor, is in the D-League at the moment). Would he put numbers significantly better than Hoffa in the L? Would he have the same impact? Doubt it to both.

Re: Pape Sow is averaging 21 points and 12 rebounds
I was skeptical towards the decision to send Pape down, but it looks like it is for the best.
Keep Hoffa here. He doesn't need to be playing against competition like that. He has the skills to play in the league, he just needs to adjust to the NBA game, and gain confidence. That won't happen in the D league.
Pape on the other hand, lacks the fundamental skills. By getting a lot of playing time and becoming a vocal point of the Rimrockers offense, he skills should improve immensely.

Re: Pape Sow is averaging 21 points and 12 rebounds
i love how pape is playing, i knew it was in him. i used to love watching him hustle & try to defend the other teams best opposing players i.e. LeBron.
i wouldn't send Hoffa down, if anything, i'd send down Bonner for Sow.
