It just struck me this morning... if Jalen gets traded I bet you'll see the same phenomenom play out that did when VC went to the Nets

His game will skyrocket.

He obviously won't have the impact that VC has had on Jersey but he will play like the Jalen of old.

Maybe Rose has been pulling a Wince Carter on us

I really hope that's not the case but it is plausible. That strategy worked for Vince... maybe JR's putting his own spin on the same strategy.

I don't doubt it for a second.

MIKE & MIKE on espnradio this morning were talking about the team first attitude the most recent championship winners in each sport exhibits.

Spurs, White Sox, Patriots.

That said they then brought up some of the names of elite players that have demanded trades or caused their team heartache, most recently Ron Artest and Terrell Owens (the second this was brought up I thought of Vince), who have yet to win a championship.

So good riddence Jalen, you may not publicly say you want out, but your effort speaks volumes.

Jalen would definatly do better on another team, no doubt, but I don't think that notion is all that shocking.

i dont know i think he is trying but obviosuly not as hard as he can, he is only shooting 34% you cant really try to shoot that low, he is a competator, but he dose need a change of scenary

its not the same as Vince Carter, Vince is high profile, Vince was our team, we were running plays for Vince, him playing like an *** affected us much more then what Jalen could do, i dont think babcock will trade him until the end of his contract, so jalen can have fun sitting on the bench as long as he is on contract with us...

Whatever team imports Jalen will have to run plays for him even more than what his history would have you believe; as much as it's a lack of effort, I do believe that you are witness to initial phase of the erosion of Rose's skills... He wasn't the quickest member of the Fab 5 to begin w/ and time has not been kind to him either; he won't put up the same numbers (in proportion) as Vince, but if he's used sparingly off the bench for 10 to 15 minutes (@ most), he likely will provide a strong measure of offense ('cause you know he'll bring nothing defensively)...

Wouldn't be the same situation even if Jalen did improve his production (which almost always happens, hence the "honeymoon" period after a trade).

We can't be expected to get anything in return for Jalen. That's the difference. So no matter how well he plays elsewhere people aren't going to turn to Rob and say, what a waste!

Nah, Jalen is not doggin it. He's just old, on the downside. If he wanted to get moved, he'd be playing well, but he can't. This is why he is not making a scene about not starting. Not playing well is one thing. No one would take him if he was being an *** as well.
