I can't wait for the tourney in March to see what these guys can do.

Re: Alderage > Bosh ??? Bosh options....after 06 Draft.
The Raptors had better hope for that first pick, because if they fall to 2, who do you take?
Atlanta isn't taking Gay. They've already got Josh Smith and Josh Childress at the SF ... that'd be like the Detroit Lions taking another WR. And we all saw how that worked out.
Atlanta would take Aldridge to play alongside ZaZa (or at the 5), or trade down to grab a PG.
Why would Toronto take Gay when Charlie V can be this team's SF for the next 10 years? Toronto would be forced to gamble on one of the foreign big men, or grab a PG too high (Rondo?).
And for the guy who wants to see Aldridge in March, good luck: He's surrounded by ballhogs in Daniel Gibson (overrated, IMO) and PJ Tucker (fighting to make the NBA).

I definitely take Gay if he's there at our pick. You bring up Villy being able to play the 3, but what about Bosh who plays the 4? Aldridge can play centre, sure, but Villy, Gay and Bosh are all versitile. Graham can play both swingman positions. And either way, not all of them have to be on the court at the same time. There are already a lot of possible lineups with this team... we'd just be further taking advantage of them with Rudy Gay.

Everyone is saying that, but from what I've seen, he's a center like Chris Bosh is...
Bosh, Villy, Gay
Alridge, Bosh, Villy
Hoffa, Bosh, Villy, Morrison
they all look good to me.

Re: Alderage > Bosh ??? Bosh options....after 06 Draft.
Really I wonder sometimes have people really seen any of these player play. I hear Morrison a star on the next level. J.J. Reddick a legitimate pick and Aldridge a center like Bosh. Since this topic is about Aldridge I will leave the two role players alone but Aldridge as a center is much different than Bosh. Aldridge is huge beside Bosh. He is taller and has to outweight him by at least 30 pounds. Aldridge rebounds, defends, has decent post moves and a great shooting touch there is a reason he has shot up the draft boards. This reminds me so much of two years ago when everyone (myself included) was telling Orlando to draft Okafor over Howard yet scouts continued to talk about how Howard had this potential to be a stud while Okafor has hit a ceiling and now we are seeingl they were right. Yeah Aldridge will be hyped and given unfair comparisons. A good comparison would be somewhere along the lines of between Marcus Camby, Bosh, and Tyson Chandler. Camby's body type. Chandler running ability and somewhat like Bosh offensively almost a bigger Tyson Chandler with offense and good hands. Finally this will be my last post until after the christmas holidays. Merry Christmas Raptors fans and if you keep winning forget about Aldridge.

I dunno man, from the games I've SEEN, Alridge looks like a face up kinda guy with very limited post moves.
And no comparrison to Chandler is a good one.

Re: Alderage > Bosh ??? Bosh options....after 06 Draft.
True, Aldridge doesn't have polished post moves. But his freshman season was decimated by injuries, and so far this year he's proved to be a 19-8 guy. Bosh is a 4 with outside skills; Aldridge is a 5 with no game outside of 10 feet.
I think the comparison to Camby is a pretty good one.

He's saying ship Charlie in a package with the Denver pick (likely 14-20) to get a top 3 or so pick.
