Where's Home-Court?
I've noticed that you guys are 1-12 at home and 5-10 on the road. Is the team un-motivated playing in Canada? Are the fans not cheering them on?

Re: Where's Home-Court?
NO!
the fans here are always & have always been very supportive of the team, minus a few players, warranted or not.

Re: Where's Home-Court?
Is this some kind of ploy to get in a sucker punch for the franchise?
The average attendance thus far is ranked in the middle-tier out of all 30 nba arenas so attendance is a huge positive considering the team's record and their disastrous November start.
The players have kept their heads up high and looking to stay on the optimistic bubble where the home record is concerned. Some have been quoted to seeing this season to be a very good one if they can just get the job done at home considering how they're currently doing on the road. Winning at home is probably one of their more important goals this season.

Re: Where's Home-Court?
We're Like Second Worst Attendance On The Road, And We Still Win Games.
But Yea, The Raps Shud Be Playin Well At Home.. We Won Like One Game Versus The Heat. But We Have Good Home Games Coming Up That We Cud Prolly Win..

Re: Where's Home-Court?
You guys probably have great fans like we do here in Portland. I just wondered if the home record had anything else to do with it. Anyways one more question, will Canadian's always love hockey first or is basketball on it's way up in Canada?

Hockey will always be #1 IMO. The tradition is hard to beat.

Re: Where's Home-Court?
Can't blame him for asking, a 1-12 record at home does stand out.... Houston doesn't play very well at home either, and it actually does have to do with the fact our fans at the games aren't very proactive (the corporates buy out the good seats and act like they're too well-mannered to stand up and cheer)

Re: Where's Home-Court?
I think the reason they don't perform as well at home is because of all the pressure put on them by the fans, whereas when they're on the road they're more relaxed

Hockey will always be first but basketball and football are growing quickly in some areas (Quebec, the 'Peg, Vancity, Tdot etc).
Would a NHL franchise do well in Portland?

Re: Where's Home-Court?
It's pretty impressive of how the Raptors fans are showing up despite their crappy team.

Re: Where's Home-Court?
The Raptors have a really young team, so at times it's tough for them to handle the pressure of playing in front of a home crowd.
They're home record will definately improve as the season goes on.
