Same team. same results. I wonder if Joe Johnson still thinks they are still better than us? But if we do or when we win tonight, a reporter should ask what he thinks of the raptors now.

Let's hope he win this one.
It'd be a great way to start the new year / month.

I'll probably catch this game at Duff's tonight. Should be fun, hopefully the Raptors can get another win.

Usually an entertaining game between these squads. You know Atlanta wants to get us back for last week.

I'll probably flip between this and the Canada junior game. Hopefully the Raps can pull off their third win in a row.

Re: Raptors @ Hawks, Jan. 3rd
Nice game thread (like your others)
One minor change, Graham will be playing (according to Eric Smith). I'm not sure if he's starting yet but I know he's playing so it's a safe bet to assume that Rose won't be starting (thankfully).
Actually, I'd rather Eric Williams start if Graham doesn't but that's just me..

Re: Raptors @ Hawks, Jan. 3rd
Should be a good game to watch. Its gonna be really tough for the raps to win 3 in a row against the hawks but i think they can come through. And one thing that pisses me off when i watch the Hawks game is when they show Joe Johnson's stats they always use Donta Smith's picture instead of Joe's lol. So hopefully Raps win and they get that picture of JJ instead of Donta.*Going for 3 wins in a row*

Yeah, it'll be tough to stay on SportsNet when the kids are playing on TSN. The Junior tournament has been a lot of fun this year.

That's great news! I thought he'd be a scratch tonight. Hopefully Jose can heal up soon.
I don't know that Jalen will start, but we sat Jose when he was hurting so I think Sam will take the same approach with Joey.
The problem with starting Eric Williams is that he'll probably do a good job--which makes it tougher to take that role away from him later. I love the guy but he won't take Jalen's minutes, he'll take Joey's, and that's not an option.

Re: Raptors @ Hawks, Jan. 3rd
True for all your points. It's just that when we put Williams in the Indiana game you could tell that the whole team started making crisper DEFENSIVE rotations. Does that have more to do with Rose or Williams? I say a bit of both, although Rose isn't good at all defensively, he's trying this year for a change, but Williams is supposed to be a "leader" on defensive when we first got him. It's just too bad we have to showcase Rose, but I'm really thinking (hoping? :P) he's gone by the TD...
As for Calderon's injury, this isn't coming from the Raptors staff or anything, but some say that the injury could take upto 10 days to heal 100% that type of injury..hopefully it doesn't take that long for jose though .

3 Rebounds for Hoff in 6 minutes. Nice to see him doing something out there. Did he draw a charge on Zaza?

Re: Raptors @ Hawks, Jan. 3rd
Gawd, do we play them every week?
Bosh did a pretty good job guarding JO the other day (disregarding Jerm's injury), hopefully he can build on that when he faces Baby Al.

I love everything about him, I love his game, I love his work ethic. He definitely has my approval - Kobe Bryant"
