sportsline.com: Raptors claw way back to respectability (good read)
Quote:
Despite what many of you e-mailers may think, we're not out to pile on the Raptors' steadily developing rebuilding project, but rather offer encouragement.
Many speculated that there will be a hangover from that demoralizing shot, and indeed, the Raptors did lose Monday night in Chicago. However, that may have just been a case of running out of legs on the second night of a back-to-back, which means the team must simply regroup and remember what has fostered success.
Over the past few weeks, there have been marked improvements in the team's caliber of play, lifting a great deal of the burden from Chris Bosh's shoulders

That really is a good read. I like this part:

Bottom line: Toronto has become a pretty fun team to watch. The Raptors make the extra pass more often than not, are developing weapons to keep Bosh from being trampled by triple-teams in the post, and are learning to win. One game shouldn't stunt that growth. One play, as painful as it may have been, needs to be put behind them.

I like the message and the way it sounds.

He brings that toughness to the court, commands the respect of teammates and isn't afraid to get in anyone's face. Toronto desperately needed that
|
I like this part cause Toronto really needed somebody like that. Aside from Mitchell telling the players how it is, James has been such positive asset to this team.

That's the same writer that said Bosh was the second or third best centre in the NBA. I think he has a bit of a crush on him.
Overall a very positive article. Good to hear SOMEBODY is watching other than us.

There is also a mention of Jay Williams (Duke guard, injured in motorcylce crash) possibly being interested in the Raptors in case Mike James gets dealt.

raps are becoming better and better, too bad we let that second quarter against the bulls kill us. if we were remotely awake during that quarter we wouldve won the game.

Re: sportsline.com: Raptors claw way back to respectability (good read)
I couldn't believe Mejia wrote this article. He was the one that totally panned the choice of Charlie V. and gave a grade of "A" to Atlanta for choosing Marvin Williams and Salim Stoudamire. His negative review was almost word for word what ESPN's Chad Ford wrote. I still think this guy is an idiot.
It's funny to see how these writers can build someone up or tear them right down and switch back and forth between the two.

Well games are played every day and I wouldn't want someone not to be able to change their opinions.
