Post The official *hire Eric Mussleman* thread... and doug collins.

Let's face it possible the 2nd worst move Rob made (the worst being hoffa) is the hiring of Sam Mitchell.

This guy is a bad coach and a bad person IMO.

- totally unprofessional
- cantankerous as hell with everyone from the media to his own players Definition of Cantakerous
- is not able to make in game adjustments - I think the kobe 81 accentuated that shortcoming
- Inexperienced
- Lousy work ethic - when he is coaching he is working hard but far from a student of the game
- 1 & 15 start had to do with him not Babcock - terrible play call late in games.

--------------------------
Which brings me to Eric Mussleman
- talking about guy who refined his trade in the CBA 400 games where he won 70% (272-122) of them (approx 5 nba season worth)
- then went to Golden state and had an overachieving season in one of the toughest conferences in NBA history.
- LET SAM FINISH OUT THE SEASON so he can not blame anyone but himself - hire Eric and let him have a clean slate and act as a consultant during the draft.
- also I heard Doug Collins name being bandied about for prez and GM - I think that would be a good move he is well respected

if you are in favor of Hiring Eric Mussleman post below!

I agree. He took a Warriors team that was 21-61 under the previous coach, and made it 38-44. The following year he was sabotaged by the GM who lost Gilbert Arenas for nothing and traded Antawn Jamison for Nick Van Exel (who missed half the season injured), but he still managed to win 37 games.

I doubt that they hire Doug Collins as GM. He has no experience as a GM. He had playoff appearances as a coach, but he also Michael Jordan, and even with Jordan, he never won the championship. He wasn't successful as coach of the wizards.

I pray they don't give him the reins.

Exactly. Didn't Peddie say they were looking for an experienced GM?

Eric Mussleman a definite no, By the way CBA coaching doesn't translate into a success in NBA although Flip and Karl did coach in CBA prior to coaching in NBA. Also Mussleman underachieved with a good young core in Golden State. By the way since people were criticizing Mitchell the way Golden States played team play I suggest everyone go look back at old videos and see if you see any difference the way the currents raps and that golden state team played

Doug Collins
I personally don't like his coaching style, he berates his players and his coaching style is not any different from Kevin O'neal

Under achived??? huh? - that team was terrible and injurry riddled.
http://www.nba.com/history/standings/20022003.html

spurs and mavs won 60 games that year.
Twolves Kings Lakers and Blazers won 50+

they had to go up against all the power houses and had they won 3 more games would have been 500 team.

Despite facing mostly western conference opposition they did have better record than. Atlanta Chicago Toronto Cleveland, Washington, Newyork, Miami.

also
Collins for prez and GM he has great insight.
