Re: Nowhere to go but down

Very rarely do teams ever really address needs through the draft.

The Raps will get a decent player in this year's draft that hopefully complents Chris Bosh.

The Raps will be this way for the next two years, maybe a little better, maybe a little worse, but people need to understand that there is not much we can do about it. We are still assembling the core, Embry's trade proved that. It's doubtful that the Raps will field a team of pure youngsters, fans should expect a trade including a young player and/ or some picks.

Re: Nowhere to go but down

We're going to be nicely revamped for next year- a high draft pick, free agent and trade acquisitions, and a new GM.

Free agents will go where the money is.

I'm just a little worried about Chicago- they also have cap space and a high draft pick coming.

Re: Nowhere to go but down

If things look so grim for the Raptors why should Bosh stay? I guess we will find out if the Raptors have any hope of surviving as a NBA franchise because if Bosh bails out that leaves nothing much for the shrinkingToronto basketball fans to hoot for.

Stacking the team with international players will not cut it with Toronto fans and the Raptors will become a non-team where no US players will want to play. That is the logical conclusion if the Raptors have nowhere to go but down.

Even the so-called "size" of the market will not be enough for the Raptors to stay in Toronto ..... Las Vegas Raptors anybody .... ???!!!!!
