Yeah. Didn't they have Yao Ming grow from 7'5" to 7'6" over the summer one year? lol. Plus, height isn't as big of a factor affecting a player's game compared to jumping ability, wingspan, speed, and strength and actual talent. You could pit some weak 7'0" dood against a strong 5"9 player, and unless the tall guy was amazingly quick on his feet, the 5'9" guy would have a higher chance of winning because of his speed, jumping ability and strength.

That's a lil exagerated, cuz even on a one on one, all the 7'0 has to do is posting up in the post and the 5'9" couldn't do ****. But I get the idea though.
The idea of a tall line up is that it is very intimidating and offers alot of advantage on both ends of the floor. If you are 2-4 inches taller you can shoot over oponents and on D, it forces the opponent to change/alternate or force their shots. And it's not like Eva, Bosh, and Mo Pete are talentless either.
and according to scouting reports, Yao is still growing. He was measure to be 7'3 or 7'4 in China, but once he got here, the official measurement for the NBA, he was listed at 7'5 or 7'6

You know what would be even more sweet? If Rob did not draft Charlie or Joey at all, but instead used the 7/16 picks to trade up with Portland and picked Chris Paul for the 3rd overall pick.
But I think that's going off topic...
