Re: What's your rating on the Rose trade?

emergence of Sow & re-arrival of AD if he chooses to play could mean Hoffa will be at the end of the bench or on IR the rest of the way and possibly bought out in the summer or traded.

Re: What's your rating on the Rose trade?

I like the trade.

Jalen's contract was a tough one to dump and likely would have remained here had we not been willing to part with the pick. I really got the impression that babcock held the picks close after the criticism he received re: the carter trade. I don't know if he would have pulled the trigger on this deal, no one does.

The reality is that the Toronto Raptors appear to be a franchise in turmoil. Given the cap situation before the trade this would not have been a desireable destination for potential GM's. This trade creates some financial flexability in the immediate future. One less negative when trying to convince someone to take the job.

I never really liked the idea of long term rebuilding through the draft for the city of toronto. it may work in some cities, but this city was already starting to turn on the franchise and I'm not sure it could endure several more years in the NBA's basement.
