Charlie Villanueva as a starter...
...through 11 games:

35.5 MPG, .497(6.9, 14.5) FG%, .333(1.4, 4.1) 3PT%, .800(1.5, 1.8) FT%, 7.2(2.2) RPG, 1.2 APG, 1.0 TOPG, .72 SPG, .72 BPG, 16.6 PPG.
When Colangelo stated he will build around Charlie and Bosh, I went on to do further research to see if Villa has had any effect, positive or negative, to Chris Bosh's production since being inserted as the starting SF:

41.6 MPG, .530(7.9, 15.1) FG%, 0(0,0) 3PT%, 0.847(7.1, 8.4) FT%, 9.3(3.1) RPG, 2.8 APG, 2.6 TOPG, 0.6 SPG, 1.3 BPG, 22.9 PPG
In the end, it's nothing substantial from Chris's end (slight increase in PPG and FG%) but Charlie has increased his efficiency in terms of percentages all over as well increased his production.
(Nothing earth-shattering, I'm just bored as hell.)

Re: Charlie Villanueva as a starter...
Charlie and Chris are our "Twin Towers" ... but they certainly are not outstanding defenders and the Raptors still need a big strong body to play C ..... and that's one missing piece.
Now which PG - SG combinations do the Raptors need to finish off the team .... the European picks ... or somebody like JJ Reddick .. Rudy Gay .... ??!!!

I like charlie V at SF. He is a good passer and seems to have developed a chemisty with bosh.

Please no! Can't block shots, and if soft as butter. We need someone like Pryzbilla, someone who will do all the dirty work, and block shots.

Re: Charlie Villanueva as a starter...
Tiago Splitter would be the PERFECT fit next to these two, IMO.

Re: Charlie Villanueva as a starter...
IMO I think Bosh should be moved to the C with Villanueva pushed to the PF and have Joey Graham play 2 guard and maybe this summer draft Rudy Gay to play the 3. This team has so much young talent it's unbelievable how good it can be.

Re: Charlie Villanueva as a starter...
Bosh is already undersized for the 4, (yeah, say what you want but its true. I know he is performing well, but he still is), there's no way we should in any way put him at the 5. Putting him there will just tire him more as he will have to guard big men and thus making him a lot less effective on the offensive end. Since his defensive game isn't even that great, there is no point on moving him there.
eva at 3 and Bosh at 4 is perfect.
Eva and Bosh as starters amount to 39.5/16.5
that's pretty good. Especially considering one of them is a rookie and the other is 21 years old ... (actually, that's 40/17 for two 21 years old.)
I think they can easily to 45/19 next year. maybe even 50/20 (no, I'm dreamin, hahaha)
anywhoo.
I thought eva avg more per games though, like close to 18-19PPG and like 7.5 or something. since he started.

Our backcourt would be extremely talented, but as strong as spider strings.
I like nazr, I only saw him play one game, but the game I saw, he was doing all the little thing and he rebounded like a monster, like 8 offensive out of 9 total rebounds.
don't matter, I like to have a legit C that will hustle and do all the little things. I don't even care about block shot, as long as he contests ALL the shots and forces other big me to take difficult shots.

From what I've read about the guy, I would have to agree that he would be a nice fit next to the two of them.
