Re: Yi Jian Lian
He is not a top five pick, plain and simple, now if we move down in the draft then maybe but not with the fifth pick. I was just hoping he slips to the secound round.

Re: Yi Jian Lian
I don't think Yi will slip to the second round, this is a weak draft and athletic seven footers don't come by too often. Robert Swift was picked 9th two yrs ago, Johan Petro 20th last yr, Yi will be draft base on potential

Agreed. We have our star. We have the secondary scorers (our offence is fine). We need a solid rotation player that will help us in other areas. Now is not the time to take a "big"risk...

Re: Yi Jian Lian
he may be 7ft but from what ive seen, he doesnt play like a big...he looks to play more like a 3 then anything...he has some nice athleticism but not enough tangible basketball skills, imo, to be anywhere close to an elite plyr...i still dont like cv at 3, but he is a much better and talented option then jianlian...hes def. not an option for where the raps will be picking...

Re: Yi Jian Lian
outside of marketing purposes (Toronto having one of, if not the biggest Chinese population in North America), this pick would not help the team at all....

Mao has.
If he's the BPA, draft him.
