Re: CV3 Named to all rookie team
^ To me, that was the most surprising. Felton was unbelievable the end of the year. A sign of things to come. I don't think Chris Paul is that much better than Raymond or Deron. They're all sick PG's, but Paul jumped out of the gates so quick. He ain't that much better, if at all.

Paul was head and shoulders above them this year, he will need to continue to improve each year to be a star in the league. Felton I assume was left off because he didn't put up numbers like that for an extended period of time, but I like him alot better than Deron, who I think is the most overratted out of those 3.
Congrats to Charlie for making it, hope he comes back even stronger next year.

Re: CV3 Named to all rookie team
Congrats to Villanueva. Hope he keeps on proving I was wrong about him for a long, long time.
Chris Paul is a better PG than Williams or Felton. That's why he was unanimous.

Villanueva led all Eastern Conference rookies in scoring at 13.0 points per game. He also contributed 6.4 rebounds (second on the Raptors) and 29.1 minutes in 81 games (second most by a rookie in team history). He came off the bench for the first 45 games before drawing a starting assignment in the final 36. He upped his averages to 14.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and 34.9 minutes as a starter compared to 12.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 24.5 minutes in a reserve role.
“I’m excited and honoured,” said Villanueva. “I had my doubters at the beginning but I continued to work hard to be the best that I could be for the Raptors. This was one of my goals and I’m glad it happened.”

Those are pretty good numbers as a starter. Probably makes him a top-20 player at either PF or SF.

Yeah. I would have thought that Charlie V would have been an unanimous vote as well (or doesthe voting system makes 2 unanimous picks impossible?).
Either way, Congrats to Charlie V for a solid rookie season. =)

Don't want to sound like a homer but Paul and Charlie shoulda been clean sweeps.
The fact that you could slot him in at both 3 and 4 makes it even more proposperous.
Oh well... congrats Charlie, you deserve it.
Way to make the haters eat crow.
