i agree with teams trying to get out but there will be some stars from this draft, we just dont know who yet. the team that might have had the pieces and the interest to trade up was probably the bulls, now that they are at #2 they are in a perfect spot. they can take whatever player toronto passes on and say they wanted that guy all along, which may be true.

Re: Toronto keeping the #1 doesn't make sense to me

I doubt the Raptors take Aldridge. He is too much like Bosh and Charlie V. Midrange scoring big man, not the best defender, finesse player.

If the Raptors don't trade it, I wouldn't be surprised to see them take Tyrus Thomas for defensive purposes. He can create havoc defensively while Bosh and Villanueva handle the scoring load in the frontcourt.

I just hope Andrea Bargnani drops to number two. Word has it that Toronto is actually set on him though. Let's hope not! I will try my hardest to justify why that's a bad pick. Look, they don't need scoring big men, especially midrange scorers! They don't need Bargnani! Don't pick him Raptors!

Re: Toronto keeping the #1 doesn't make sense to me

get aldridge and start Villanueva/Bosh/Aldridge

Villanueva has the offensive game of an sf. He will need work on guarding sf's, but raps have a summer for that. I just think this possible trio under the basket is too good to give up, especially for a league viod of good big men. This trio would be a nightmare matchup wise.

Re: Toronto keeping the #1 doesn't make sense to me

They should not trade this pick for a vet. If they draft Aldridge then they will have the big three of Bosh, CV and Aldgridge. This is good because they are all around the same age which means that they will all hit their primes at the same time.

Re: Toronto keeping the #1 doesn't make sense to me

this pick isn't worth much, so they are probably better off keeping it. i think aldridge, bargnani, rudy gay could all fit in well. bargnani may be the only all-star of the draft but gay might have some potential. aldrige is the safe pick, he brings in what the team needs which is interior defense.

And what is wrong with having another Bosh type player? I wouldn't might having 2 Bosh's. That would still be better than most front courts in the NBA.

Re: Toronto keeping the #1 doesn't make sense to me

Why would they draft another pf thats basically three straight years they would have done that. They need to get Tyrus Thomas the guy would be a great sf 6'9 218 and the Raptors would have the best frontline in the league in a couple of yeras.
Also Vill had a great year for the raptors why would they trade him he would have been rookie of the year if it wasnt for Chris Paul.

I don't think TT can play the 3 in the nba, he's an undersized pf and will remain a pf. He prolly have more chance at playin the 5 than the 3, and trust me, I don't think anybody wanna see TT at the 5. He's nickname isn't big ben.

If I were a Raptors fan, I'd want them to pick Andrea Bargnani (best player available). Unfortunetly, I'm not. I'm a Bulls fan. I want the Bulls to get Andrea Bargnani.

Raptors better not screw that up!
