Man it's such a good time to be from Toronto
**** guy, I'm not even in the city right now and I think the draft lotto's rubbing off on me! Right after we won the #1 pick, I started kicking *** in poker - I never play poker, I have no clue how to PLAY poker, and I was kicking ***! Then today I was kicking *** at crib, against people who've been playing all their lives - I didn't lose a single game, and I just learned how to play that **** last month!
To top it all off the weather's been ****ing amazing ever since the draft (notice how I post this right before we're supposed to get rain, irrelevant though)! It's a good time to be a Raptors fan... hehehe... it's a celebration *****es!
Anyone else have similar **** happen lately?

Re: Man it's such a good time to be from Toronto
nice. i personally think we're bordering on perfection right now. obviously true perfection is impossible to achieve, but i think we've neared its practical ideal. the state of this team is churning my engine everywhere i go now. it's intense and i'm loving it.
i think a lot of fans will look back on this week five years from now as having been among "the best of times". it breaks my heart to see some fans and mediatypes still find some way to get depressed today- it's like, man, we have a real social problem in the community if this doesn't excite us collectively.
considering all issues- absolutely everything- this is bordering on the perfect (imo).
peace

For as perfect as everything has been, don't forget one thing...
...you're all still Canadian.
Just kidding guys.
Before anyone gets up in arms, I'm from Jersey, I get my home made fun of more than Canada ever will, so I gotta get my shots in where I can.

After we won that draft lottery, the sky seems bluer, and the grass seems greener.
Wow.

Re: Man it's such a good time to be from Toronto
It's always fantastic in Toronto though
i spent my last two summers in Sydney, Australia and Sydney has nothing on the Toronto summerlife.. of course its winter there.. but thats besides the point
But the other day i was at the Jays game watchin Halladay pitch masterfully once again, and what an amazing surprise.. on the jumbotron... if thats what they still call it... "The Toronto Raptors have won the 2006 Draft Lottery and will pick #1"
does it get any better than that? prolly.. but about 11 months from now we should be enjoyin the Raptors playoff run.. and the leafs still makin a pointless push to the cup... the jays battling for position with NY and Boston.. and of course still high on our grey cup win thanks to ricky williams..
it does get better.. but not much better

Re: Man it's such a good time to be from Toronto
Hell yeah. It's gonna be 25-30 degrees all of next week, we're heading up to T-Dot again to chill at Canada's Wonderland for our end of the year class trip, the Jays are doing alright, I made the regionals for track and field (100 and 400 m), our football season starts again, i'm still with the girl I like, and school ends in 23 days!
