Anyone else notice this...
BC has a cult following in toronto like there hasn't been in a long time.. prolly since the arrival of vince carter
kinda scary how this guy has all OUR hopes in the palm of his hands...
wouldn't that be crazy if the "saviour" as some have called him.. wasn't even a basketball player.. but an executive.
giving hope to all those who cannot dunk! haha... just a thought

Re: Anyone else notice this...
BC is a star in his field.
And Toronto is one of the clubs which should know best how good management is important.
I don't understand why do you think it's so weird.

Re: Anyone else notice this...
The Big Question regarding Colangelo is will he make the Raptors a run'n gun team with two big fast power forwards and 3 other very athletic players .... or will he opt for a slowed down half-court post up team with a big banging centre and the rest of the team hanging around the 3-point arc in the corners and lobbing rainbows ... ??!!!
Will he pick Bargnani or Aldridge .... run'n gun or post up game ... and how do the rest of the current Raptors fit into his thinking how basketball of the future should be played ... ???
According to an interview with his father, the president of the PHX Suns, Brian's big strength is that he will "pull the trigger" quickly once he makes a decision .... so who will he aim his gun at ... ???

I don't know if he's as well known as Isiah Thomas, he probably isn't, but he is going to be given a tonne of slack in a way we haven't seen since.

Yes, he'll be given a lot of slack, but if this team starts 1-15, people will question what he's doing. It's actually a lot of pressure for BC. He has to come out of his father's shadow and prove (again) that he really is a top exec. And when you consider the options he has at his disposal, many people will expect to see something more on court than they have in the past few seasons.
Of course he can always fire Sam if the going gets tough, so even in that regards he has options and in turn, more pressure.

Re: Anyone else notice this...
while it might be a case of blind faith with BC, his track record and pedigree afford him some slack even if we don't do well this season
All eyes on Sam this season

Re: Anyone else notice this...
He won Executive of the Year last year.
It's like we just replaced Darius Miles (shows promise but lots of bad decisions) with Lebron (MVP calibre player).

Are you really serious with what your saying cuz Aldridge is limited to half court game, you do know he can also run the floor
