Mike James goes off on Hoops
Did anyone here this? I think he just burned his bridges in Toronto. IMO we dont need him on this team, especially when that is how he thinks

Re: Mike James goes off on Hoops
i'm so worried that this free agency experience will ruin mike's career. i hope i'm wrong, i'm begging to be wrong here, but i can't help it.
he's a good guy, i think he's a great person, but he wasn't made out for this. he talks before he learns how he feels- he talks in order to learn how he feels- and that is so dangerous in the celebrity world. he'll learn it eventually, he's not a dumb man, but i just hope he doesn't learn it too late.
peace

Mike James is down for whatever.
Can't question his work ethic. Can question his sanity.

Re: Mike James goes off on Hoops
someone needs to bash this guy in the head with a modesty club..
he talks about how the only difference is how he doesn't have the hype of top pg's... the real difference is that they know how to lead a winning team and all he does is complain...
good riddance mike james

Re: Mike James goes off on Hoops
What he is, is a marginal starter for a decent team, or a solid bench player for a contender.
What he did last season can ONLY happen on a bad team.
What he wants is to do the same on a team that wins the championship.
It does not seem possible that it can end well.
Maybe he can accept a 6th man role like Antonio Daniels and be content.
But he seems almost as loony as Rafer!
ANYWAY
Things are clearly shaping up for James to leave the Raptors, and that ultimately is a good thing for us.

Re: Mike James goes off on Hoops
best of luck to Mike James, as well as the team that signs him...
his ego and lack of even one modest bone in his body has soured us on what was a pretty good season for him.

Re: Mike James goes off on Hoops
Hopefully this lowers his value so much that we can get him for less than the MLE...

Re: Mike James goes off on Hoops
What the hell is he talking about? He is just as wack as Stephen A. Smith on draft night.

Re: Mike James goes off on Hoops
You can tell the guy is dedicated to keeping himself in shape. His bodyfat is really low.
Atleast he acknowledges hes insane. Most teams wouldnt want a guy like that im guessing but you cant deny he is driven.

Re: Mike James goes off on Hoops
One of the things that he says in that interview is that his goal is to win a championship.
Any contending team in their right mind, even if they need a starting point, would not take Mike James. To say that all of these ridiculous comments have helped him in the free agency would be dumb. If anything they've diminished his value as a person and player on any team.

Re: Mike James goes off on Hoops
I think it is a combination of things:
1. he is trying to get as much attention as possible after a 20 pt/pg season (the first and certainly last of his career).
2. he is a little hurt that the 5th worst team in the league with cap space and no point gaurd is essentially not interested in him.
