Of the top prospects who would you be the most upset with?
Of the players projected at the top of the draft is there a player you would not like to see in a Raptors uniform?
For me it is Tyrus Thomas....I don't see a spot for him in Toronto, and I also don't think he will be a starter in this league.
Other than him I would be fine with Bargnani, Lamarcus, Morrison, Gay, and even a move down for Marcus Williams. Although some of these players duplicate positions that we are somewhat set at, I see them all being solid pros....Bargnani is a player with big upside(discussed in length on this board), I would love him in T.O., and Adam Morrison has that something in him that will make him special. That would be my top two...the otherr three I would not blow a gasket if we ended up with them.
I am also not saying all the guys mentioned are #1 picks, but are at or near the top of the board.
Thoughts?  |

Make that three on Thomas. Add a Randy Foye to that mix too.
edit: I'm thinking of potential top 8 picks as well since there is a possibility of trading down.

well pretty much anyone at #1 isnt worth it unless its Aldridge IMO

Do you think Aldridge is a lock for the #1...or is it just your preference?
I can see Bargnani going #1 as well

As a guy who watches nearly every Raptors game (I'm not going to call myself a fan, because I really don't follow any one team exclusively), I would be most disappointed with LaMarcus Aldridge. This guy doesn't excite me at all. He's not all that athletic, he settles for too many fadeaways (when he should be dominating players at his size), he seems careless with the ball, and ultimately too soft. I think he's going to be a huge disappointment, and I'm surprised that so many people think he'll go number one. In a typical draft, I think this guy would be lucky to crack the top ten. In fact I would take any of the players taken in the top ten last year over him, personally.
Do the right thing guys: draft Bargnani.

How do you think that Bargnani will fit in with Bosh since both seem to have the same game??
Would you trade Bosh if Bargnani proved to be an adequate replacement .. and then go after players like Diaw and Barbosa when they become qualifying offer FAs in 2007 ??
My take on Colangelo is that he will rebuild the Raptors with international players rather than solely depend on US players.

I don't think I'd be happy if we took Patrick O'Bryant. That's not to say I don't think he'll amount to anything, it just seems like he's only a top prospect because there are literally no true centres in the first round, with the possible exception of Paul Davis.

I'm not a Raptors fan, but if I was.. it'd be Adam Morrison. I just do not see what makes him a lottery pick, much less a top five pick..

I wouldn't be upset with any of the top guys, I'd be more upset with either a point guard or someone we could have easily acquired had we traded down.

It's either Morrison or Tyrus Thomas.
Probably Morrison more since at least Tyrus would provide us with a defensive spark and Morrison will just be a liability when we already have massive defensive problems.
Either would suck though.

my thought immediately after I saw this thread's title. Can't believe people say Tyrus Thomas ... this dude has potential to be a great intimidator in the paint. If we don't get Aldridge or Bargani ... we definitely should have a long look at Thomas or Roy if we trade down.
