Please. Would you say the same thing about Charlie Villaneuva at UCONN? Because wasn't that his biggest knock? Not being assertive enough?
Trust me. You'll be eating your words by the end of the next season once you realize what a freakin monster Gay is.

Athleticism, defense, and versatility also count and is why Gay will be as valuable, if not moreso, than Adam.

by that logic... heart, leadership, determination, and offense is why adam is as valuable if not more than rudy?
between the two prospects adam has to be hands down the man. put adam on uconn and those guys would have gotten the ncaa championship. adam would clearly been the leader of that group. rudy phased into the background. what separates the greats from the goods is something they have from birth. you cant teach heart. maybe rudy has it , maybe hes been holding it back, who knows cant say we dont know rudy personally . but from what ive seen adams shown the fire , that special spark, that the larrys and the johnosons have had since they played their first game. theres a quality about him that just says leader. hes the kind of guy i want leading our troops into the field of battle .

Besides your blind hate for Rudy Gay, why would you think he wouldn't want to play against Morrison?
He's clearly(CLEARLY) stated that his goal is still to be the number 1 pick and he's willing to play against Brandon Roy(Roy already dodged him once...), Adam Morrison, and even Tyrus Thomas.
I hope those that hate Rudy Gay, also hate Charlie V because he had the SAME knocks that Rudy has except worse(they said he didn't care, had no work ethic, coasted through games, etc.). Rudy and Charlie's game are more made for the NBA that's why CV did better his rookie year than he did in college, and thats why IMO, Gay will be the same.

I made a sarcastic thread about him, that's all. Don't think I'm homophobic.
If we drafted Gay I would be disappointed but I don't dislike him as a person or a player.

Good post. Raptors fans must realize that the agents often dictate whether the player should play in a workout or not. If anything, a 2 on 2 or 1 on 1 workout benefits Gay, not Morrison. Statements such as "I wouldn't be shocked to see Gay avoid this workout confrontation" are absolutely ridiculous. I would understand if Gay had avoided his workout with Roy earlier, but the exact opposite was what happened.

I think Gay has a lot more to lose is the reason I said it. Morrison is being judged on his college career, Gay isn't. Gay is being judged on the player he might become. For him to exhibit weaknesses or limitations, which would likely occur in a one-on-one confrontation with the nations best college player, would be more damaging than anything else good he could exhibit (his speed, athleticism, etc.), IMHO.
I think the degree of mystery surrounding Gay helps him more than it hurts.
