Writing is on the Wall for Bosh or Charlie V. Exit??
If BC is fixated on getting the 25 yr old upstart Paul Gasol (which I am starting to think he is) it would almost certainly mean the exit of Bosh or Charlie V.
Here are the facts:
==============
- Raps sign of Garbajosa
- The Tade of Kris Humphries
- Charlie V is not ideal @ the 3 spot as he struggles to defend smaller quicker swing men
- The most tradable assets the Raps have are Bosh, Charlie V and the first round over all pick
Let the speculation begin...
How about Mike James (S&T) + #1 FOR Gasol

No way we dealing Bosh, I can see the #1 and CV being shopped around but no way Bosh is going anywhere.

Raps haven't officially singed Garbajosa. It would've been announced.
As for Gasol, I don't know why you think Colangelo is fixated on him, but if we could get him, it would be great. I doubt we will (or need to?).
The speculation has already begun!

I speculate that Pau Gasol isn't going anywhere and that his name isn't exactly hard to spell.

But if you spell it the other way, it rhymes.

It doesn't make sense for Memphis to trade Gasol. If they're rebuilding, he's the one player that stays.
Furthermore, the only way I see us getting him even if he was available is Charlie Villanueva packaged along with our first overall pick. Too much IMO. Maybe a team like Chicago can afford dealing out two young assets like that (Gordon+2nd overall maybe), but we sure as hell can't.

Yeah, but with the way it is, you can do public relations campaigns like this:
Pow and Battman!

Re: Writing is on the Wall for Bosh or Charlie V. Exit??
Wait, Colangelo tearing down our team for Pau Gasol? I'll pass. I think Gasol is a hell of a player, but I can't see him doing ANY better leading the Raps by himself than Bosh did.
Giving up a first and CV just seems wrong, because Gasol was the third pick in an even worse draft than we have this year. Proof that good players ARE available all every year, teams just need to look. Might as well keep CV, pick a player just as good (if not better than Gasol), it will just take some work.
How's BC's track record with drafts? Anyone know off hand?

The thing is Memphis needs a shake up - they have yet to win a round in their history and the is with Hubbie and Frats at the helm. Mind you if they had a PG after stoudamire went down they could have done somethig - a S&T with Mike James could be what the doctor ordered in a package there.

Memphis can have Mike James for a Jerry West autograph.

Considering how conservative Jerry West has been with trades in the past, I think your Gasol ideas are pure wishful thinking and not backed by any kind of substantial proof.
The goal is to win a championship. Trading Gasol for Bargnani/Morrison/Aldridge and Villanueva and keeping overpaid garbage (basically, everyone except Gasol) isn't what I call a good shake-up now or in the future.
It's unlikely, and I wouldn't preoccupy my time too much with it.

I'd like the Raps to keep CV and Bosh...they just look like they could dominate in the east as two 6'10" and over forwards...
