Re: Jermaine O'Neal
This deal wont happen, O'neal is a an allstar and no way he will be traded to Toronto unless the deal favors them with the 1st pick and CV.

Re: Jermaine O'Neal
Aldridge and Villanueva sounds way better than juss JO. but if we can get JO for the 1st pick and fillers, that would b ideal.

Re: Jermaine O'Neal
A front court of Jermaine O'Neal, Bosh, and Villanueva would be a nightmare for opposing teams. It's very tempting but I'm not sure if it would be enough to make us contenders anytime soon. I'd rather just continue on with our rebuilding process and become a powerhouse later on. Patience will pay off.
This is a good trade for Indiana IF they want to start rebuilding. I know everyone is saying that they'll pick Adam Morrison (Morrison and Bird, too perfect), but LaMarcus Aldridge would make a good replacement for JO.

Re: Jermaine O'Neal
On the positive side, Jermaine is in his prime, very talented, and can play center, and is signed long term (thus can't leave as a FA).
On the negative side, he's missed about half the season the past two years due to injuries, and his salary over the next four years is: $18m, $19.7m, $21.3m, $23m.

Yep, there would go our cap room, I don't think we can sign any FA if we get him. I have no idea how we would match salaries too

Re: Jermaine O'Neal
JO would be awesoem on this team, especially if we dint have to trade CV to get him, i dont no who said it, but a frontcourt of Bosh/CV/JO would take us STRAIGHT to the ECF, Bosh a face up big man, who will burn any defender you put on him. JO AN ALL STAR, and well aboev average defender, to take care of the opposing teams center, and Charlie who could pass it to these 2, and go outside and kill you, or take u inside, and kill you. They would absolutely dominate every team in the league. Chris/Jermaine are arguably the 2 best forwards in the eastern conference right now.

Bird can forget it. No thanks to JO. Unless he just wants #35.

Re: Jermaine O'Neal
Why not butr? If we can get O'Neal for #1 and filler like Eric and Alvin, that's essentially like adding an All-Star for no loss on the current roster. Isn't this what cap room is for?

The question is do you want to spend all of your cap room, and mortgage your future, on a player that has averaged 60 games a year for his career?
Just seems too risky

So why take him for a 2nd rounder then?
