There is a sect of Blazer fans that truly believe that Adam Morrison is who the Blazers want and need. Now for that to happen we need to Jump ahead of Charlotte, who is very interested in him to. My idea for the trade is as follows

Portland Trades

#30 Pick
PG Sebastain Telfair

Toront Trades
#1 Pick
PF Matt Bonner

Why Telfair? We have 3 more then capable point guards and one needs to leave. Jack is the gem in McMillian's eye with his NBA body and defensive skills. Telfair is a run and gun, up and down, past first type of PG. Very similar to the PG Colangelo brought in to the run and gun Phoenix Suns in Steve Nash.

Is this a go for you guys?

As a Raptor fan, I really like it. Telfair is just enough compensation to move down (Jack and Blake just didn't do it for me). Assuming Charlotte takes Gay and Chicago takes Aldridge, we could still end up with Bargnani. I was a LaMarcus man myself, but Telfair is worth trading down for.

I like the trade minus Bonner and the 30th. Bonner still has a place on this team and that isn't a testament of his skills but to the lack of depth on the roster. The Raps need him more than Paul Davis or Josh Boone or who ever the Raps will end up getting with the 30th pick.

I'd be in. With Humphries coming in, I think it will be Bonner's minutes getting cut. Plus, Telfair's a speedy young PG, who does seems to favour passing (only seen him in spurts, don't crucify me if I'm wrong).
Raps get a late 1st, which equals cheap contract for four years for a bench player. Could possibly be packaged with one or more of our seconds and future seconds to move up a few spots in the 20s.
I really can't believe a Blazers fan posted this idea.

As far as trading down goes, this deal is perfect. Unfortunately as of just recently, my opinion on Tyrus Thomas has taken a dive, and I've never been a big Bargnani fan. If this were two weeks ago I would have pounced on it, but now, if Aldridge and Gay are both gone, I don't know if I would want to pull the trigger.

But who knows, even without Aldridge or Gay, it's still a decent trade, but I'd have to think a lot more about it.

I really like that trade.
Telfair could definitely be our PG of the future and we move Bonner to ease up the logjam at PF right now.

Plus at #4 (assuming Morrison goes top 3) we are going to get Aldridge, Bargnani, Gay, or Roy and even though the #30 isn't something we really need, it doesn't hurt to have.

Pretty good trade. With the 4th pick our options are still good and with the 30th pick we get a decent bench player to replace Bonner or even a late first round steal. Plus Telfair has the potential to be a great pg.

I'd do this, Telfair has a lot talent no dought. I would do this deal on the premise we pick up some major talent and move down in the draft where we can still most likely get our guy at 4.

However how do fellow blazer fans feel? Because most other fans view him as untouchable?

However regardles I do this because out of Bassy, Roko and Jose we definatly have at least one stud out of the three.

I'd cream my pants if BC got a deal like this. However, I don't think the Blazers are ready to give up on Telfair quite so quickly, not without adequate compensation anyways.

Of course you realize we're also going to steal Joel P from you right?

You'd think the Blazers would want a PF/C to compensate for Randolph and Joel P's departure. Don't they have enough small forwards already? (Webster, Monya, Khryapa, Miles, Outlaw)
