For sports, I prefer the Globe, and I read both the Star and the Globe daily all throughout high school...

atleast the Sun has the sunshine girl
but all crap aside, as much as Barni is getting a lot of hype, you have to remember that he is compared to Dirk and Gasol, infact I think he is putting up similar # as Gasol in the same league. I'm sorry, but Gasol didn't have a huge impact until recently, and he is like the franchise. Imagine Gnani behind Eva and Bosh?????????

Re: did i read that right
I'm not saying that Dridge is more NBA ready than Gnani or vice versa, all I'm saying is that to say Gnani is nba ready is perhaps just setting yourself up for dissapointement.

Re: did i read that right
I think the bottom line is that we just don't know.
Aldridge can blow up into a 20/10 with 2.5 blocks guy, or get be the next Jonathan Bender...
Bargnani could start killing it from day one and be the best offensive player in francise history. Or decide not to come over at all.
Life is full of supises. All BC can do is make an educated decision and let the chip fall where they may.
With that said I feel pretty comfortable with BC making the decision than I have ever felt with any other Raps GM.

Re: did i read that right
yes.... in BC WE TRUST
he sees the workouts.. he has all the video's... he's been to the games...
the aldridge vs bargnani looks like a debate that the raps will be stuck with... either keepin number one... or trading down to three or four
i personally think you can't really go wrong with either one right now... put dirk from 4 years ago with bosh and villa.. its pretty sweet... or put JO 4 years ago with bosh and villa its sweet also
either is gravy considering a month ago we thought we'd be stuck with marcus williams

repped
I have to agree that at first, I was an LA fan, but the more I hear about AB, and also the fact that he is being hyped up as being as good as Dirk (Although I think the more realistic reach would be Gasol based on numbers) I think I'll be happy with either or. Even if I'd still prefer LA of course.

What are you talking about? He won rookie of the year. Plus the two seasons prior to this one he had his minutes cut back because of Hubie Brown's ten-player rotation, so that's why we saw an increase in his numbers this year. He's been solid his entire career.
Either way, I find it foolish to expect those kinds of numbers from Bargnani, that's just setting him up for failure. Let him come in and play his game, if he gets drafted by us. Why put heavy expectations on a guy most people haven't even seen just because he's compared to Dirk and Gasol?
