I highly doubt we want Morrison if it's true and that the Suns are interested. As it says all the teams who want to move up are coveting him. We must want Thomas, LaMarcus or someone else.

combining what ive read about some gms, other posters ideas, and certain internet rumours some pieces stand out .

tyrus thomas says hes going in the top 3. ok even his agent says so . lets for the sake of argument say its true. leaves three teams. toronto , chicago , and the bobcats. now ( stay with me here ) TT three weeks ago said he had a promise from chicago? or something of the sorty . anyways initially we see chicago favouring TT.

now the second clue is the bobcats. wanting to trade up . everyone thinks that adam is their guy , because that is what the bobcats camp is a letting out. but what do we know about bickerstaff? the guy is a smokescreen machine and his biggest tendency is to pump up the value of the players he doesnt want. and say nothing about the players he does want. whose the player that the bobcats havent said a word about? TT. everyone else they have been giving rave reviews for. adams great. rudy is great, etc etc.

now the third piece is michael jordan coming into the new ownership scene. it is said he will heavily influence the pick . now all of the sudden after he comes on board, a few days later, we get a "guarantee" coming from TT camp . this is combined with the already whispering rumours that the bobcats have offered the third pick, to take on alvins salary , and brevin . but instead of what everyone thought, that is them wanting adam, their real goal is TT.

why would charolette let on that they want adam more? smokescreen again . that is hyping up adams value that way no one else wants to trade up and snatch TT. Chicago is letting out plenty of smoke as well, and they have themselves been speculated about trading up . and have been invovled in promise rumours . portland seems to be set on adam , and is their competition for the first pick . helping out adams value only helps the bobcats make sure there is less competition for TT.

gotta love the draft season .

good theory. i dont know about CHA passion over TT since they got may and okafor at the 4.

Bottom line, BC will trade the pick on Draft day to any of the top 5 teams.

Well if Tyrus Thomas has a promise in the top 3 (assuming it's not from us) and if we are targeting AB or DA we've got to try to move down to 4 or 5 even more. Only problem, Tyrus Thomas probably isn't on Portland's or Atlanta's short list ... which make the trade down even harder.

In the end, we'll probably stick at the #1 spot or trade down further down (like at 10 with Seattle and grab Ridnour at the same time - my favorite scenario).

Anyways ... if Tyrus goes 2 or 3, it means somebody we want will fall to 4 or 5.

Wow the draft is only a week away, and still nobody knows anything about their position in the draft. I can't remember leading up to another draft where everything has been so unclear. I like the Seattle trade scenario, and I know Doug Smith wrote some rumour like that today but, included Ray Allen in the trade scenario. I don't know how that would work out, but #1 for Ridnour and #10 works for me.

Add in Colangelo being on a week-long coke binge and then maybe....maybe the deal happens. That would be horrible for Toronto. Barbosa is way overrated on this board.
