No we have the cap room, so we can take on extra salaries. This summer the Raptors have two options:

1. Sign FA's - not much intriguing other then Terry... I would prefer just keeping Mike James. Before it was a C OR Mike James. Now we have a C and Mike James.

OR

2. Trade for an all-star on a team looking to start over.

I prefer #2 - We have our young star for the next 10 years... let's give him a veteran partner now (although I would prefer if it could be in the 26-28 age rather then Allen at 30)

still not sure about it, do we really have a chance to win the championship in the next couple of seasons? because it seems like we going away from building a team that is going to be competitive for a lot of years to trying to win a championship one year and if we dont were screwed

Fair point. Maybe we do a Baron Davis type deal this summer (like the one GS did a few years back, where we aren't really giving up much but we take on a risky contract with our cap space). Still keep the young core. Who would fit the "overpaid", but still productive on a bad team.
