Doug Smith says that the significant discussions are not with Seattle

While that team has yet to be made public, according to various sources, it's not Seattle, which was linked to trade talks with Toronto before the draft. Talks cooled when Colangelo couldn't pry the No. 10 pick in the draft or guard Luke Ridnour from the Sonics and have yet to be rekindled.

Re: Doug Smith says that the significant discussions are not with Seattle
Who could it be?
Like Eric and Jonsey said on hoops lastnight, it must be a team with multiple PG's. ex charlotte, portland NO/OK. who else meets that criteria?

Did Slug and the rest of the Star boycott the press conference yesterday (again)?
I didn't notice any of them there. Baldy and the kid from SportsNet were there. I didn't notice Grange, either.
Anyways, trades are coming. I can feel it.

Golden State has Baron Davis, Derek Fisher, and Monte Ellis, and even Dunleavy can play the point. Not sure we want any of those guys, but they do have a surplus of PGs.

Mystery trade partner?
Quote:
Trade talks, meanwhile, could come to a head soon after he set up future talks on draft night.
"There was also some discussion about something that was completely unrelated to the draft and we may be continuing to pursue that but the team I was discussing something with (and the Raptors) both decided it wasn't the appropriate time," Colangelo said. "We're going to sit back and revisit."

So assumming it's not Seattle (which it still could be), who might be of interest to the Raptors?

I like a couple of the Boston Guards, but i wonder what it would take. Boston is probably gearing up to get AI or another superstar anyways
