Sorry, but you're a couple days behind. Boston acquired Telfair and Rajon Rondo on draft day, along with West who can still play some point. They're set at point guard.
I wouldn't mind Marquis Daniels at all. He's a good slasher, good ball handler, okay passer, and sometimes a good defender. He just needs confidence and that was blatantly obvious in the NBA Finals

If we were over the cap certainly I would do and SNT - but when were talking Marquis Daniels????
Come on... pass on Daniels, pass on the SNT, and certainly there must be something better out there on the FA market at $8M, better then Daniels.

Rockets have some short/expiring contracts like Sura and Mutombo they can throw into a trade to make it work. Plus they throw us some cash to balance the deal. Hits our cap this year but no real effect going forward. We can just waive Mutombo if we don't want to use him at all.
If we like Luther Head or Sura its doable.

Sure there is. If there is a player we want on a team that wants James, we can get him. A sign and trade enables us to cherry pick another team. The free agent roster is thin this summer so there is a good chance we're more interested in someone elses player than someone in the free agent pool.

Fair enough. But it doesn't necessarily mean getting something back for Mike James is the best option... we must consider if there is a similar option in FA.
Just wanted to bring up the two options.. if it comes down to Daniels or FA, I take my chances in the FA route/
