All signs point to TJ having a breakout year with the Raptors.

Re: TJ's stat line this year?
with run and gun his assits will definitely go up . especially with if his catchers shoot at a high clip . like bosh and hopefully bargani will too. should be able to get assists easier since he'll have good offensive bigs to work with . id go with 15 pts and 8 assists for tj next year .

Re: TJ's stat line this year?
I think TJ is gonna average 10 assists or more this year.
He's a guy that passes first, and the raptors have a lot of guys who can hit shots.
I got high expectations for the Raps this year, they better make the playoffs!

Ford has never managed to average over 7 apg last year on a more talented team but he's going to average close to 10 apg on a lesser talented team? Makes sense.

So was does that tell you about the coach's trust in Ford as a playmaker? From what I understand, if Ford's playmaking skills are as good as some make it out to be, why shouldn't he have the ball in his hands the most? It'd be like letting Carter handle the ball alot more than Jason Kidd.

Um, naw its not actually. Look at it this way Maurice Williams also was the point guard as well. Thats different though Michael Redd is somewhat of a ballhog. Im not saying TJ is gonna get 9 assists a game, but he is going to get more assists then 6.4 this year.

Ah I see. Not only will Ford have trouble producing when put beside talented players, but his teammates were also "hindering" his game, much like how Rudy Gay said his talents were being "hindered" by his teammates. Now it makes sense.

Umm no. Minutes were taken away from him, and he had to share the PG role just like Chris Paul and Speedy Claxton did. I think 12 points and 6 assists are pretty good for a guy who had to share PG roles. Which means if he is given full PG duty's then we should expect better numbers this year.

TJ Ford averaged 35.5 mpg last year while Paul averaged 36. 35+ minutes is well enough signification that Ford was their full-time PG who was given full PG duties. So with the responsibilities and minutes Ford was given, I don't see how you could say Mo Williams took some of Ford's minutes away (nor with Paul and Claxton).
