well reading headlines, plus the fact that phoenix will have to pay Diaw and Barbosa sooner than later.

exactly. they can coexist with each other. Wallace can definetly guard the SG/SF position of the opposing teams offense, and Morrison will supply the offense. don't see how this couldn't be a more perfect combination.

If Colangelo could steal Barbosa away from the Suns that would be great. Isn't he from S America?

... and that's exactly why the Bobcats won't trade him.

Not true. If you watched the Suns last season, he played most of his minutes at shooting guard and played best when at shooting guard. D'Antoni finally realized he isn't a 1. He's a terrible playmaker and I wouldn't trust him at point. When it's Nash's time to go, they'll find a playmaking point guard to run the show.

Another name to throw out there as someone who is still young and can be had, Qyntel Woods.

Eh, character issues with Woods. Probably isn't right for us.
As for Wallace, that guy has been ready to explode since Sacramento, and I know I say this every time, but why exactly did they give up on him?
Problem is it would be too expensive to get him in a trade and he isn't a free agent.
As for Barbosa, Ford/James > Ford/Barbosa.

Re: Gerald Wallace and Leandro Barbosa - The Missing Pieces.
Wallace was their best player last year by quite a margin. Our best chance at getting him was with CV or the #1 pick. Now we have no tradeable assets close to his value, other than Bosh.

Re: Gerald Wallace and Leandro Barbosa - The Missing Pieces.
while its very (VERY) unlikely, the best person to land is diaw to play SF for us. Can do much of what G.Wallace can do but can also handle/distribute the ball.
And is from France...more likely to welcome a sign&trade to Toronto.

Woud like to have, but I feel Kupchak and Jackson love him too much to part with him so easily.

If anything Gerald is more valuable now seeing as how we are going to need his defense while Morrison is playing, basically on the helpside of the defense. Also Toronto doesn't have much to offer us if we were to trade him.

Get to know your player. Ammo took less than a quarter of his shots from 3 point land. Morrison scores from midrange and close range more often than outside.
But I agree with you about your main point - I don't see Wallace being traded, either.
