Is Rasual Butler a possibility?

He is solid off the bench, Can play the 2 and 3, Can hit the trey, Good for run and gun style, Will come cheap.

Dont you think he is the perfect backup to sign for ppl that are FA's??

Re: Is Rasual Butler a possibility?

i still think the raptors need a starting 2/3 which ever mo pete doesnt play...until graham is ready ( if he ever his) to start, i wouldnt put him into the starting role

i think bonzi wells is a good fa to sign, maybe butler too to increase the bench..

Re: Is Rasual Butler a possibility?

after bonzi had a somewhat breakout year in sac, he's gonna command some $$$$. i'd expect a $6-8 million/4 years type of deal. and i don't think we're committed for that long.

Not a bad guy to sign as the ninth or tenth man. I'm hoping we're aiming a little higher right now.

Plays good d, shoots the 3 ball well, blocks shots well for a 3, will come cheap. I see him as a possibility.

Sure - why not as a depth player at the 2-3.

Re: Is Rasual Butler a possibility?

As a backup player, yes. As a starter, no.

However, if that Turkoglu rumour goes down, I'd say YES!
Nice shooter off the bench, gives decent size if Tucker is considered too raw to play and Dooling too small.

Re: Is Rasual Butler a possibility?

Rasual is a poor man's MoPete, with even worse handles. Not a 2 guard by any stretch. I'd rather play Joey Graham at 2 than Butler.

We need a 2 with better handles than Mo. Someone with some court vision and passing ability. Not another spot up trey-shooter.

Just my opinion, of course.
