Garbajosa finally inked
http://www.marca.com/edicion/marca/3...lo/668345.html
3 years, 12 big ones.
First Year: $3 million
Second Year: $4 million
Third Year: $5 million
It's nice to see BC picking up some talent outside the box, but there's a good bet we overpaid. Who knows though, maybe we'll be lucky and he'll be our Nocioni.

Do you tink he can play the 3 spot like Nocioni, or just that he will be a hard nosed player like he is?
I would love Nocioni on this team...not that it will happen!

What the article says in english

Jorge Garbajosa already is new NBAMarca player. Jorge Garbajosa committed Wednesday with the Raptors by three seasons, although officially he will not be able to sign the contract until the 12 of July (date in which the market in the NBA is opened). After confirming its contract with the Canadian tax exemption the wing-pi'vot of Torrejón already is the fifth Spanish in the NBA after Fernando Martín, Pau Gasol, Raul Lopez and Calderón. To Sergio Rodriguez it needs few hours to extend the list of Spaniards in the best league of the world. Publicity: EUROBET.COM leader in sport bets

Someone posted it on realgm.com. They said those were the raises. I can only understand English and French so I can't translate it.
Arcade: Maybe the guy who posted it mistook July the 12th and assumed 12 million? If so, thank god that we aren't paying a 3rd string PF that much.
Sorry for any misunderstandings guys.

Based on the clips I've seen, Garbajosa is definately a power forward. He could be a weaker Corliss Williams type combo forward, though. I don't think he's as tough as Noc, but he hustles just like Bonner.

Re: Garbajosa finally inked
hopefully this guy isnt just a euro version of bonner or corlis williamson for that matter. and hopefully this wasnt just a BC signing to make the toronto raptors even more euro in hopes of being the most european team outside of europe.
and hopefully this guy isnt eurotrash and is nba quality.

Re: Garbajosa finally inked
BTW, I've heard some rumors about an interest in Anthony Parker.
Few days ago I've noticed a report saying that AP is tired from living in Israel, and wants to go back to the US, maybe even to retire from basketball if that's what will get him out.
His agent declined this information, but said to DraftExpress that Anthony has several offers from NBA teams, including TO which has to most interest in him.
Obviously because of his performance in the game between Maccani the Raps at October.
Anyways. he'll want the same contract such as Saras and Garbajosa (3yr/12M).
