Coming to Toronto will be a tough situation for Ford. It would be for Harris, too. Put them both in this spot and I think Ford has more point guard skills and leadership to fall back on.

Re: Devin Harris or TJ Ford

I am from milwaukee, went to high school with Devin and have watched Fords entire NBA career. Devin hasnt really even gotten his chance in Dallas yet, he showed alot in that series against SA. Devin seems to have more of a killer instinct than Ford at this point and is a much much better defender. They both cant shoot and score the majority of their points on penetration and free throws. Devin also makes some sweet passes but doesnt do it as consitantly as ford.
If Devin played the same number of minutes as Ford does I dont think this would even be a contest. He will eventually get his minutes in Dallas or opt out and get them somewhere else. Devin has a higher ceiling.I would rather have Devin, mainly because I have already seen Ford in Milwaukee and I think what you see is what you get. There is just something sexy about D-HA

Devin's nickname is D-Ha? I'd rather go through the effort of saying 'Devin Harris' than use that.

Wanna lay money on TJ getting better next year?

TJ should be able to put up better stats (like last year) considering the situation he's in. Harris will still be coming off the bench in Dallas.

Those eyebrows are creepy/large.

EDIT: Sorry, I read this as TJ being better than Harris but it says TJ just getting better. My bad.

Re: Devin Harris or TJ Ford

I have to say, I would take Devin Harris. He is quite a bit longer, and has a Parker like drive to the basket. Once he starts getting some respect from the refs, he will be unstoppable.

Terffiic defender, very poised.

TJ has better pure PG skills.

Athletic-wise, they're pretty close. But Harris is about 4" taller, with long arms.

Couldn't you wait until my mark accepts the bet? Now you've gone and scared him off.

(Or maybe it was the eyebrows...)

Re: Devin Harris or TJ Ford

I'd definitely prefer Harris over Ford. I was really hoping for Harris to fall to us on draft day 2004, but alas it wasn't to be.

Re: Devin Harris or TJ Ford

One of the criticisms about James was his lack of "real" PG skills.

Why would we want Devin Harris to be starting PG then?

I don't care about getting an all-world shooting PG that is what SG is for.

I want a PG who can lead and make plays.
