Re: Devin Harris or TJ Ford
I think TJ has nearly as good scoring skills off the dribble which are both of theirs main offensive weapons but their floor general skills and playmaking ability are not even comparable. I'd take TJ simply because has much, much better point guard skills and I'm a sucker for that I guess........Devin is the better defender though.

Re: Devin Harris or TJ Ford
TJ's the better passer, but he's also farther along and can't shoot as good. Devin is a tad faster, though they're both superhuman. Devin wins out with shooting and defense though.

Re: Devin Harris or TJ Ford
I haven't seen enough of TJ, but I loved what I saw of Devin.
If TJ is a better passer than Harris, I'll be happy, but he'll have to atleast match his quickness both on offense and defense for me to take him over Harris.
****, if it was for me, I'd swap harris for ford today.

This right for me too.
Devin has extreme quickness, he's a good defender, and has a solid jumper.
If he improves his range and his playmaking skills he might be a very valuable player.
Even if Ford is the lesser player, I'd sooner have him over Harris.
He's a better fit for this team. We have enough players who can shoot the ball, we need a player who'll set them in proper spots and will run the offense for them.
Devin Harris, although an intruiging option, can not do these things.

Agreed. Who's faster is up for debate, though.

True, but they don't need CV like the Bucks do.

Re: Devin Harris or TJ Ford
Devin Harris has more potential. He will get better next year, but that cant be said of Tj Ford.

Re: Devin Harris or TJ Ford
Give me TJ Ford, pre trade or post trade.
Devin's point guard skills cannot compare to TJ's. Devin is the better shooter (not by much), and the better defender (I expect TJ to improve a lot in this area though).. As far as leadership goes, which is crucial for a point guard.. TJ also has the edge.

Re: Devin Harris or TJ Ford
Harris looked spectacular at times during the playoffs, but much like Nash and the Suns, the Mavericks are tailored to Harris' skills.
Coming to Toronto will be a tough situation for Ford. It would be for Harris, too. Put them both in this spot and I think Ford has more point guard skills and leadership to fall back on.
