Re: Marcus William + CV or TJ + AB?

There is no way anyone can argue that Marcus Williams is better than TJ or has more potential.
TJ won college player of the year award and was considered a top 5 pick alongside Lebon, 'Melo etc... He's got much more potential to become a dynamic point guard, while I see Marcus William as a better passing, worse shooting Deron Williams.

I doubt it's just Raptors fans that would disagree with you there.

TJ in 33 minutes: 15 pts, 7.5 ast, 3.3 rbs, 44% shooting, 3.5 TOs
MW in 19 minutes: 6 pts, 2.5 ast, 3.7 rbs, 33% shooting, 3 TOs

Re: Marcus William + CV or TJ + AB?

Marcus has been average at best (pure stat line observation) in his first three games.

Just as relevant as his strong pre-season.

A little cash of overhype too early. He may be good but not this year.. he is still a below average NBA point guard at this stage of his career (which is fine for a rook)

I know that some fans of a certain team will come in and say I am overreacting to three games. OK.. but that would be hypocritical would it not.

Seems right for a player drafted 22nd overall as a rookie.

There was a reason he was drafted 22nd. Just because some ESPN guys and writers say it was a steal, does not mean they no more then NBA scouts.

Bump

There's still ALOT of time left to play out in this story. But have our opinions changed at all the past month? Yes. No?

Re: Marcus William + CV or TJ + AB?

Well, I think it's safe to say that Bargnani has as much potential as Villanueva. Marcus Williams have not yet proved to be the steal of the 06' draft however it is still too early to tell.

Re: Marcus William + CV or TJ + AB?

Il Mago is going to be a better player then Charlie Villaneuva, and I believe that's why they traded Charlie because they knew that Bargnani has more potential then Big smooth had.

T.J Ford is playing decent, yes he can play better, but I am glad that we traded for him, because we needed a good young point guard, and we got one in him. He's only 23 I believe so he's still young. So I am glad that we did these two moves during the offseason.
