Re: Raps shorted 2 points in the Atlanta game..
I'm not sure I followed that, but I know that 88 minus 85 is not equal 2 and somehow, from that youtube link, after lue made the basket, it was 88-79 not 87-79 and yes, I didn't see Ford's lay up count, so it would of been 97-81
that's a 3 point **** up

Going by the scoreline at the bottom of the screen, not only did the Raptors not get those two points, the Atlanta Hawks also got an extra point.
EDIT: Never mind. The Hawks didnt get an extra point.

how so? They went from 85 to 88, that's 3 points off a lay up without an and 1

Re: Raps shorted 2 points in the Atlanta game..
upon watching it again, I'm all confused, JJ made a ft but it was credited to the raps, then ford makes a lay up and it's not counted, then lue makes a lay up and that is counted as 3, so that makes it up for the **** up they did to JJ's ft, but does miss 1 point for the raps.

But if you keep looking down the list, after Lue's layup shot, the score is 88-80. Which means that we did get those two points that we deserved.
4:42 [ATL 86-78] Johnson Free Throw 2 of 2 (24 PTS)
4:33 Ford Layup Shot: Missed
4:25 [ATL 88-80] Lue Layup Shot: Made (14 PTS)
Another weird thing. At the end of the play-by-play, after End of the 4th Quarter under Atlanta's column, they added:
4:33 Team Rebound
Oddly enough, by the end of the play-by-play, the final score is listed as 97-95. I went down the rest of the list since 4:33 and checked the scores and they are right. But when you scroll back up to the top of the page, the final score is listed as 97-93. It should be 97-95. The NBA better get around to changing this. This could end up being a big deal if we're tied in the standings and the tiebreaker somehow comes down to looking at the number of points that the team has scored.

I got that now, forget about everything I said, they displayed it wrong on broadcast, but the play by play was right (in comparison with the youtube clip) I don't know about the uncredited 2 pts somewhere though.... I'm too confused about that.

The fact that your bringing up a point that is nonsense, (i.e implying the Hawks get cheated much more then other teams) makes you a cryer and a whiner.
Hopefully, there are some logic classes in your future,

Re: Raps shorted 2 points in the Atlanta game..
I noticed the difference when Chuck was announcing the score and it wasn't matching the on-screen graphics, but I dismissed it as a mistake.
Really sucks but we shouldn't have been in that position to begin with.

Damn that just blows. Those Atlanta score keepers should be fired.
I wonder what would happen if we lost by one point...?

Re: Raps shorted 2 points in the Atlanta game..
it's being reported that it was tj's layup that they missed. i don't know if that's the whole story, though. something tells me that the entire fourth quarter may have been awash in error. what a shame.

On thescore, they're showing that the game would've been 95-95 and not 95-93 without the mistake, and so we wouldn't have needed to foul.

The scoreboard was late in counting a made Hawk's free throw from an earlier play. But either way, it appears to be that the scoreboard in the arena was wrong while the play-by-play was right.
Either way, the final score is wrong. What happens now?

That's right. The scorekeepers missed Ford's layup at around 4:33.

Yeah. The play-by-play seems to be right but the scoreboard in the arena was obviously wrong. In the game of basketball and in such a close game, 95-95 vs. 97-95 is a really big deal.
