OK, Fred Jones can't shoot.
This guy is in a bad shooting slump.
He just keeps taking long shots, and missing them.
I've been disappointed, I thought he would have a better game around the basket. I was to see him drive more, and lay off the long shots.

Freddy J was horrible today shooting wise but he sort of recognized that and tried to drive in and kick it back out a few times so that was good on him.

Yeah, we seem to miss Mo's shooting in the starting lineup.
On the other hand Parker looks better each game. Easily our best incognito player.

Jones has a crazy release on his jumpshot. It is like he begins to release his shot then pauses with the ball at the tip of his figures then releases. This causes the ball to be flat as hell and look damn ugly. At this point I feel calderon has a better jumper going then Freddy.

I think we will see Jones' minutes go down once Mo is back. I don't like Fred as a starter, if he comes off the bench and attacks the rim, he will be a more useful player for us.
I can see the rotation being Mo and Anthony as the starters, with Joey as the first swing player off the bench.

I don't know what exactly Fred Jones brings to the table
- not an efficienct scorer... horrible shooter
- cannot score with any quantity (i.e. cannot create enough easy looks for himself and does not get many easy baskets)
- small 2 guard with no real passing or dribbling skills IMO
- not a great defender and size issues
- average BBall IQ
Maybe I am being extremely harsh on him, but when Mo-Pete comes back, I would like to see FJ play less then 10 minutes a game.
I have never been a fan of FJ, always thought he was overrated, so maybe I am just biased.

While Jones was horrible shooting the rock (1-6 from the field and 4 of those field goals were from beyond the arc) I think yanking him now would be brutal for his remaining confidence. Paired with AP he provides some nice defense (as shown by his three steals) and I'd prefer to see Mo Pete and Graham come off the bench.
Plus, the trio of Calderon, Bargnani and Graham are a talented trio for Sam to have coming off the bench.

if jones stays in the starting lineup...then that will sacrifice someones minutes(pete or joey)... it would be nice if everyone can play and get significant time but thats just not possible....mitchell is trying to establish a solid rotation...and there just isnt enough time for everybody.... i wanna see sam continue playing a 9 man rotation with mo in starting lineup...joey coming of the bench and nesterovic getting 10 to 15 mins...which leaves jones along with tucker etc... riding the pine and getting the garbage minutes late in the 4th.
