Some players are actually saying the microfiber ball is cutting their hands after extended use. Brutal.

yeah its so bad that some assistants who have to pass it all day were using gloves to protect their hands

Yeah he could have "stayed the course" on his ball that was clearly not working, while deriding those in favour of changing the ball strategy. Thats the kind of foolish behaviour some leaders would pursue.
