how good will AP be?
considering he's quite old (I think he is in his prime technically?)
And considering that his best skills aren't mesured by stats, what do you expect his best statistic line to be (season avg)?
does he have it in him to be a 20 ppg player in a season or two? Can he be better than Mike James?
bla bla bla
(How many seasons did we sign his contract? 3?)

Three year deal.
He'll be better next year but I don't think there is a tonne of room for improvement in his game. He's pretty set in his ways by now.

Re: how good will AP be?
What I am hoping for is with him getting more comfortable with the NBA, his stats will go up, not necessarily because he physically improved or skillwise (although he may a lil) but just in terms of experience and comfort, the whole adaptaiton thing.

Re: how good will AP be?
If he learns a couple dirty tricks, perhaps he can be like Bruce Bowen and play effectively late into his 30s. Offensively I don't think he'll get much better. Maybe become like Doug Christie when he was with Sacramento?

Re: how good will AP be?
I am really with the job that Anthony Parker is doing. He'll never be an All Star, but he'll never be a player that will hurt your team. He's a very good two way player. His scoring abilities are on and off, but he's always there on the defensive side.

Re: how good will AP be?
The only part of his game I think we can expect to improve is his outside shooting. He's got a great stroke and he's starting to hit pretty well from the corners but he still doesn't have great confidence in the NBA long ball...yet. Our wings need to be able to punish teams with the 3 and that simply hasn't happened this year. I really hope AP takes it upon himself to become a true (catch and ) shooting guard.
OT- anyone notice that Joey is shooting the ball a little differently of late? it doesn't look so smooth but I wonder if this is the work of the new shooting coach.

Re: how good will AP be?
AP is too slow - he has to work 10x harder to himself open and create a half-open shot. He won't get any better and in fact, when what little athleticism he has diminishes with age, he will be out of the league in an instant.
Compare him to Fred Jones - Freddy is so quick that he can get himself an open look whenever he wants (though hitting the shot is another story).
You can't compare AP to Doug Christie or Bruce Bowen. Both of those guys are twice the athlete that AP is. They play well into their 30s because even after losing a step with age, they are still quick enough to stay in the league.
