Re: Second round of All-Star votes are in, is Bosh still a starter?
Bosh had 146,395 votes at this time last year, so he has improved by over 350,000. Big friggin difference.
Jermaine O'Neal continues to garner support. His popularity is a little surprising. He had 689,526 last year at this point, so he is way behind his pace from before.
Paul Pierce continues to be on the outside looking in. A few more weeks off won't help.

It looks like J.O is really closing ground on Bosh, hopefully when Bosh comes back he can remind people to keep voting for him

Re: Second round of All-Star votes are in, is Bosh still a starter?
If Yao is still injured, then Amare Stoudemire would get the start based on current votes. Teh reason I bring that up is because there would be 4 out of high school players starting for the West--as it stands--in that case. Not that big a deal, but just something I thought I'd bring up.
I mean, everyone can see that there are 3 2003draft players set to start in the East at it stands. I'm sure Carmelo was expecting more votes, but he'll probably be chosen by coaches to play.

Hopefully when the voting is over Chris Bosh will still be one of the startinf forward in the Eastern Conference. Even though he's been injured he does derserve it over Jermaine O'Neal. So come on people if you want to see Bosh representing the Toronto Raptors at the start of the All Star let's start voting. Going to cast a vote right now.

Well, a lot of all-star PF's have somewhat similar numbers but yea O'Neal and Bosh are quite close. In terms of abilities... I think Bosh can do more on the offensive end and is willing to fight more on the boards (even though they both are about the same there, not counting season averages for this year), but O'Neal is better on the defensive end and puts up decent offensive numbers.
Bosh has Toronto fans support though, can't beat that.

Actually JO is not catching up, he's falling further behind. Bosh was ahead by approx 40 000 after first round, and is now over 60 000. Sweet.
Iverson traded to west means VC Starts.

Re: Second round of All-Star votes are in, is Bosh still a starter?
O'neal and Bosh might have similar numbers, but Bosh has been out for awhile, and I believe he would be averaging close to 24ppg if he didn't miss any games. Also the only think that O'neal has on Bosh is that he can Block more shots then Bosh can.
Also I would love to see some love for Ford he's been playing really well this year.
Also we're probably going to have three players playing in the Rookie and Sophmore game.
