Fourth all-star ballot returns, O'Neal overtakes Bosh?
http://www.nba.com/raptors/news/boshvoting_011107.html
Hellz no!
Bosh maintains a ~60,000 vote lead on the unhappy Pacers forward.
Forwards
LeBron James (Clev) 1,774,281;
Chris Bosh (Tor) 684,620;
Jermaine O’Neal (Ind) 621,476;
Grant Hill (Orl) 455,018;
Paul Pierce (Bos) 442,393;
Rasheed Wallace (Det) 358,998;
Andre Iguodala (Phi) 316,491;
Tayshaun Prince (Det) 252,295;
Hedo Turkoglu (Orl) 236,846;
Emeka Okafor (Char) 234,542.
In related news, TJ Ford has less than 178,000 votes and therefore doesn't appear on these results. So much for the "Canada voting for Bosh!" theory, right?

I'm too lazy to look it up myself but has the lead shrunk or grown between bosh and JO?

I'm pretty sure it is almost identical as to where it was last time.

Re: Fourth all-star ballot returns, O'Neal overtakes Bosh?
Here is who will probably get in (from the looks of things)...
Wade, Carter, Arenas, Kidd, Redd
James, Bosh, O'Neal, Pierce
O'Neal, Howard, Wallace
Bryant, McGrady, Iverson, Nash
Garnett, Duncan, Nowitzki, Anthony, Boozer, Marion
Ming, Stoudemire
The East might need as many as three reserves for Shaquille O'Neal, Michael Redd, and Paul Pierce, if they aren't ready to return by the time of the ASG weekend. My guess is guys like Joe Johnson, Chauncey Billups, and Caron Butler will get calls.
In the West they have a healthy squad. Coach-favourite Ray Allen might be named a reserve, or Deron Williams, Chris Paul, Elton Brand, etc..
Also, it seems wrong to have three Suns but only one Spur and one Maverick, but I don't know how to fit more from either team into the Western squad.

Hopefully Bosh can maintain the lead, because I am really hoping that he makes the Eastern Conference starting line up. I think if the Toronto Fans keep voting then he should lead by the deadline.
It's going to be very weird to see Carter and Bosh play side by side once again.

Damn you Speedy. The title of this thread got my heart racing.
The squads you laid out above look pretty good, of course the best thing being CB4 leading votes for a forward starter, dispite playing in Soviet Canuckistan.

I think that bosh might be my favorite player in the nba this year. I am not a huge NBA fan but i kind of adopted the raptors this year so i am happy to see bosh doing well.

Re: Fourth all-star ballot returns, O'Neal overtakes Bosh?
I was going to dissagree with the Redd and Wallace, but when I checked out the ballot, it isn't like there is anybody else ... so sad.
I was gonna say that Allen and Davis would be in there, hoping that zbo would make an appearance too with the way he is playing but doesn't seem likely, booze deserve the spot. Maybe Zbo over Marion.
And I think Okafor might get it over Wallace, he hasn't been playing that well and if Pierce can't play, I see Okafor over Butler on the list.

If they're going to keep the fan voting system shouldn't they at least force people to vote for a PG?
While it's nice to see Bosh starting... it will probably hurt his play. I expect both Wade & Lebron to do their own thing out there in order to win MVP. Then again he'd be playing with Arenas if he came off the bench.

Re: Fourth all-star ballot returns, O'Neal overtakes Bosh?
do you really expect Bosh to get MVP? If Bosh makes the starting line up I hope he will be more assertive and demand the ball more, I know he isn't as big a name as the other 4 he is playing with but if he is assertive, he'll get even more recognition.

Re: Fourth all-star ballot returns, O'Neal overtakes Bosh?
the all star game is liek a rec center pick up game except with very very talented players...you do ur own thing until you absolutely have to pass or somebody has an insanely easy lay up, or someone is running in for an alley oop. Lebron and Wade are gonna be hoggign the ball liek there is no tomorow. What Bosh has to do is when ever he gets the ball to try to get to the basket or amke that silky smooth J of his, and try to be a little selfish, but out of the 10 starters Bosh is the smallest name, and its not even close between him and number 9. so dont really expect an All Star MVP from him this year.
