this is not the 1st time AP missed crucial FT's hes just not the man to rely on to nail em, altough his FT is high he just seems to choke, put CB4 on the line in these situations.

Nobody shoots 100%....AP is a solid shooter, and I don't think the pressure of the situation gets to him.....law of averages says he will make more thenhe misses.....I say we role with him right through the PLAYOFFS!

That should've been MoP shot. He was on the floor, it was his 500th game and he's been as steady at the line as anyone in Raps history.

As you guys know Sam uses tech shots as a reward for our players that work the hardest and shoots the best percentage from the line.

Our best free throw shooter will eventually be Bargnani, IMO. Kid is already into the low 80s. But for now it is a toss up between Parker and Calderon, and maybe even Graham.

Peterson's %'s are down across the board this season.

I would have to go with Bargnani. Since december that kid has been money on free throws

True, but he didn't miss a shot last night.

How many shots have Calderon, Graham and Parker made in front of a 18,000 NBA fans? A lot less than the guy who was on fire last night. Who dove to the floor with Parker on the loose balls?

Sam should have gone with Mop, we're talking about four per cent between him and Parker, with Peterson's career average and all things being equal, Peterson has missed one more FT than Parker this season.

That must be why Rose took all those shots over the previous two years. It's also a great way to lift a players stats for the purposes of shopping him.

I would probably have put TJ in. AP choked, but it happens. Remember how he barely missed the and one against Memphis when we were down by 2, and he ended up missing both free throws. Calderon is a good free throw shooter, but he's also choked, remember the Nets game last season? It happens.

Rose was about an 84% free throw shooter in Toronto and was pretty clutch.

Anyways, I'm just going on what Sam said during the "Real Training Camp" special on Raps TV.

Maybe Peterson should've taken the shot but even if we'd hit that free throw I think we still would've found a way to lose that game. Its a habit.

Speedy, c'mon man, everyone knows Sam is a puppet! He was with Babcock, he is with BC, he does what he's told and says what he thinks is the right answer.

The sad thing is that is that is how Sam decides who to send to the line, he's a worse coach than I thought. That's what HS coaches do, reward players with extra shots. In the big man's league, you put the guy who has the best chance of making that shot on the line.

Peterson was about an 84 per cent FT shooter the previous years too.

I agree that the team still probably would've lost though. Sam's decision making during crucial moments ensures that the Raps will only win the flukiest of tight games.
