Final ballots tallied... will Bosh start for the East in the ASG?
Find out Thursday night! lol
TNT or ESPN or one of those channels will announce the starters officially.
At the last count Jermaine O'Neal was trailing Bosh by about 60k votes, and by the same amount at the tally before that.
The other close race is between Allen Iverson and Tracy McGrady. Also notable is the race between Shaq, possibly starting despite not playing yet this year (fan voting--its fan tastic!), and Dwight Howard, who's overachieving Magic squad has lost 9 of 15.

well I can say I did my share - I was voting for CB4 left and right. I really hope AI gets ahead of TMac. As for Shaq, well I guess that shows how much the voters pay attention the this years performence. I also noticed that constant fan favourate Grant Hill is now behind JO for fourth, despite a 15 ppg season.

An annual anomaly. I'd love for someone to explain that one.

I think it is voting based on name recognition. Shaq could be out for the whole season with no chance of playing in the ASG and he would still get a million votes.

Thx for the info.
Name recognition is why it was so important for Bosh to be in last year's ASG. He's on the verge of becoming a perminant fixture in the game for the next 10 years.

Re: Final ballots tallied... will Bosh start for the East in the ASG?
Man, I hope Bosh gets the starting spot. He deserves it and it would be great for his popularity here in the States. He's now averaging 22 and 11, and he's been awesome over the past few games. I'm glad the Raptors play in the Eastern Conference though, because he'd be fighting for the last spot out West.
