I think it's safe to say that the game is over...
93-78 Pacers w/ 2:40 left in the game...

102-84 Pacers is the final...
Well, there goes the .500 mark...
The wheels just fell off of the Raptors tonight...

Shots weren't falling and they still kept shooting jumpshots...my goodness. Awful game from everyone maybe except Parker.

Re: Raptors @ Pacers, Jan. 27th
Well, both teams were ugly at the half. Then it was just the Raptors after that. Pretty messy loss. Playing teams like Charlotte and Boston don't prepare you for a team like Indiana, especially when you are trying to play down or up to the level of your competition like we have a habit of doing.
Hopefully a few days rest will help these guys refocus and get the game against Washington.

Bargs was trash. 1-6 with 0 rebounds in 23 minutes?
What a horrid line.

Re: Raptors @ Pacers, Jan. 27th
yikes. that was poor.
can't help but wish tj had played this game. tempo would have been considerably different.
bosh and co looked pretty tired tonight. thankfully we've got a nice break rest up and refocus.

Re: Raptors @ Pacers, Jan. 27th
didn't watch the second half, but they looked ok in the first
they took a lot of long shots is all i saw, Pacers are getting it together, they should have expected a loss and prepared better to counter the Pacers

Re: Raptors @ Pacers, Jan. 27th
looked pretty tired, just going through the motions, whatever. there wasn't a player on the floor tonight, imo, who took any initiative to dissipate that illusion of 'fatigue'; it looked like everyone had no problems losing. it bothers me a little bit right now.
it's easy to place blame on virtually all of the raptors tonight, really, there wasn't a single one who necessarily put up a good game (be it statwise or otherwise), but andrea bargnani really offended me. this is a player who, while he did play some minutes last night vs boston, still had more legs than the rest of the team (especially considering his recovery from the flu bug). or at least he should have had more legs. i was upset that he didn't think more of his role when it was obvious that the rest of the team was about to hit the wall. it was pretty clear from my seat, as i'm sure it was from yours, but we did nothing to be proactive here. we saw the wall, let ourselves hit it bang on, and then decided how to react- instead of avoiding it altogether. again, we settled for a loss (i bet the thought "three out of four this week ain't bad" probably crossed the minds of all our players during the game- and well before they hit the proverbial wall, as well).
it's just a bit of a concern for me at the moment. we're growing by the day, no question, but there are spots taken on this team for veteran wisdom, and i haven't always seen it flex its muscles at the 'right' time. that's a bit alarming.
strange schedule, though. we head all the way out to indianapolis for one game before coming back for rest and relaxation in prep for the wizards on wednesday? did the team even stay overnight in indianapolis tonight? i doubt it. i bet they're home as i type this, which is an awfully strange road trip.
certainly looked that way, too.
peace
