Re: Rookie, Coach and Player of the Month
wow, congrats! Going back to last season, I would not have thought Sam Mitchell would ever win a player of the month, congrats to him.

Re: Rookie, Coach and Player of the Month
I'm not surprised by the Bosh or Il Mago selections, but the Mitchell one really caught me by surprise. I really didn't think he could coach at all and he was the source of our problems, but now that he has pieces, he seems to be showing some potential. Congrats to all three on the achievement!

Re: Rookie, Coach and Player of the Month
The coach of the month has nothing too do with his abilities. (BTW, I like Sam)
Here is how you pick the coach of the month:
a) Which team improved alot that month
if no tema that improved alot, then
b) Which team had the hghest winning %
This holds consistent accross all sports for monthly and yearly awatds. ALOT OF BONUS POINTS awarded if you are a new coach as well.

Re: Rookie, Coach and Player of the Month
This is amazing, what a great accomplishment for the team. Congrats to the three of them. Lol, Smitch out of all coaches winning the "Coach of the Month" award really caught me by surprise. These are the moments that makes me proud to be a Raptors fan. Come on, let's keep it up!
Let's Go Raptors!

Re: Rookie, Coach and Player of the Month
It's funny, if you step just outside of the circle that knows and supports the team you often get a response of something like "why do you support the team, they're only .500" or "I dunno why everyone is crazy for the Raps, they're barely a .500 team"
Well, this is why. Becaue things are changing.
ch-ch-ch-changes.

Re: Rookie, Coach and Player of the Month
Congrats to all 3. I still don't like Mitchell but I will admit that the recognition for January is deserved.
This is the beginning of more good things for Bargnani, no matter what the gnashers of teeth have written.

Re: Rookie, Coach and Player of the Month
A win on Wednesday and it could happen again (all three)!
Detroit has played really well this month so it would seem Flip and maybe Chauncey could also be in the running.
Seems like Mago or Garbo should win rookie, anyways.
